Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area (Kentucky/Tennessee)
Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area preserves the Big South Fork of the Cumberland River and its tributaries in northeastern Tennessee and southeastern Kentucky. In addition, the former mining community of Blue Heron is preserved and interpreted via signage.
The Big South Fork region contains one of the highest concentrations of natural bridges in the eastern United States and the area is located in parts of Scott, Fentress, Pickett, and Morgan counties in Tennessee, and McCreary County in Kentucky. Charit Creek Lodge is a wilderness lodge, accessible by trail, located within the park.

Shenandoah River State Park, Virginia
Shenandoah River State Park is located along 5 miles of the South Fork of the Shenandoah River, near Bentonville in Warren County, northern Virginia. The 1600 acre park features access to the river as well as awesome views of Massanutten Mountain to the west and Shenandoah National Park to the east. It's a great spot for hiking, kayaking or canoeing, fishing, camping, or just a family picnic.
I visited the park on a very blustery cold, January day. With some fresh powder snow on the ground, I stopped by the Visitor Center and made the short and easy hike up to Cullers Overlook, the main view in the park. Afterwards, I drove down to the picnic area to check out the river access. Thanks for watching!

Hamilton and the Battle of Yorktown | 10K Road Trip Vlog Day 32
We've been listening to Hamilton non-stop for this entire road trip, so we were beyond excited to get to Yorktown and see the battlefield in real life.
We highly recommend everything we did in this video. If you like Hamilton and/or like history, Yorktown is a great place to visit.
This video was actually shot over two days. We spent the first day at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. This museum has a special exhibit that focuses on the major characters from the Hamilton musical, including their back-stories and roles in the war. It was really interesting. The museum also does a great job explaining how the tensions between the Americans and British built up over time, and how and where the major conflicts and battles took place. If you want to understand how the Revolutionary War played out, this is a great place to visit. We spent about 3.5 hours there, which includes the living history area with the Continental Army outside plus all the exhibits and interactive displays inside.
On the next day, we visited the Battlefield at Yorktown, which also has a visitor center where you can explore a British warship and see an original tent used by George Washington, as well as other artifacts used during the Siege at Yorktown. The battlefield is massive, but you can follow the driving tour and read the signs to get a good understanding of what happened when and where.

We bought a combined ticket to the museum, which also includes a visit to the historic Jamestown settlement (which we'll post the video about tomorrow).
The battlefield is a National Park and so the entrance fee (of $7) is included in the NPS Annual Pass that we have.
