This road trip was taken in March, 2012. I have included a map of where I drove. It includes video of Southern Illinois University (SIU) and the surrounding areas. There is a section to the east of campus that I took because I lived in the mobile home park when I went to SIU in the 1970s.
Hundley House bed and breakfast - Carbondale, IL
This interesting and historic house fills the senses with nostalgia. A Craig Myrtle tree grows in the side yard. The owner accomodates a wonderful time by his welcoming personality. I recommend staying in this historic house. The original owners died in 1928 by murder in the house. The website:
