America's Spiritual Centre ~ Crestone, Colorado
youtube travel videos
The mountains around Crestone, Colorado are considered one of the most sacred places on the North American continent by the native American Indians.
Hanne Strong moved there with her husband in the late 1970's. An old man, locals called the Prophet, approached her and said he had a vision that she was 'chosen' to set up a centre for the word's spiritual traditions and that the centre would teach people how to evolve and live with nature.
Through a twist of fate, a failed real estate venture prepared the area for habitation with roadworks, electricity and water put in along the mountain range.
Hanne established the Manitou Foundation with the help of some wealthy benefactors and started giving away land grants to various spiritual, educational, and environmental groups.
Manitou has since established the largest intentional, interfaith, and ecumenical retreat center and sustainable teaching community in North America having granted over 2000 acres of land.
Approximately twenty thousand retreatants visiting each year, seeking to develop inner peace and balance with oneself and nature.

Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, nearly always filmed in stunning 4K.
We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the western U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and our dogs Zoe and Maggie are avid boondockers, so you'll seldom find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds. Instead, we're usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into. And unlike most other RV channels on YouTube, we're not RV dealers or full-timers -- we're weekend warriors just like you!
We'll provide tips and insight on equipping and maintaining your RV, trip planning and travel videos to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember...life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!

Salida, Colorado is the largest National Historic District in Colorado
While many cities trade their history for modern buildings, it’s just the opposite in Salida. History is embraced, celebrated and proudly visible.
The Salida Downtown Historic District is the largest historic district in Colorado and was added to the National Historic Register in 1984.
Founded in 1880, Salida’s 100 turn-of-the-century historic buildings are largely regarded as the best collection of historically significant buildings in the state. Now they house charming antique
and consignment shops, art galleries, outdoor gear stores, independently-owned restaurants, cafes and bars. But each holds fascinating stories of Salida’s colorful past, too.

Situated in Lake County approximately 10 miles southwest of Leadville, it lies within the San Isabel National Forest, near Twin Lakes, in the center of the state of Colorado.
Crystal Mill Snow - Colorado HD
when you introduce technology with history (2) you get phenomenal life moments captured in time
The Crystal Mill, or the Old Mill is an 1892 wooden powerhouse located on an outcrop above the Crystal River in Crystal, Colorado, United States. It is accessible from Marble Colorado via 4x4. Although called a mill, it is more correctly denoted as a compressor station, which used a water turbine to drive an air compressor. The compressed air was then used to power other machinery or tools. Today it stands as a Colorado icon, and is reputed to be the most photographed site in the state.
Explore Colorado Haunted Leadville
Leadville is one of Colorado’s most famous mining towns. In the 1880s it turned into a silver mining boomtown where fortunes were found and legends were made. The Evergreen Cemetery provides a link to the past. Author and historian Roger Pretti does cemetery tours. He’s extremely knowledgeable on Leadville’s history, including the ghoststories of wandering souls.
Roger Pretti’s Cemetery Tours start on Friday and Saturday afternoons at the Delaware Hotel. The likes of Doc Holliday, Butch Cassidy, and the unsinkable Molly Brown have stayed at the hotel. With antiques lining the halls, this 1886 Victorian Inn almost seems more like a 3-story museum. Many of the antiques are for sale.
