The Austrian city of Salzburg is situated on the northern edge of the Alps, close to the border of Germany. Surrounded by lakes and mountains, and straddling the banks of the Salzach River, few cities can match Salzburg’s fairytale setting.

Take the funicular to Hohensalzburg, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval fortresses. Down below in the Old Town you’ll find Salzburg Cathedral and the Salzburg Museum. Nearby, wander along narrow Getreidegasse, one of the loveliest shopping streets in the world.
Just off the Old Market Square, savor 300 years of coffee-making tradition at Café Tomaselli. For classical Austrian fare served with a side of Opera, take the short walk to Stiftskeller St. Peter. At the Müllner Bräu Brewery, hang out with beer devotees from all over the world.
Salzburg has long been a city where inspiration knows no bounds, especially when it comes to its palaces. Just a short stroll from the Marionette Theater, the grandeur of Mirabell Palace and Gardens awaits. While on Salzburg’s southern outskirts, explore the playful water features at Hellbrunn Palace.
While Salzburg abounds with fountains, some of the city’s most impressive water features are its natural ones, such as Lake Wolfgang and Krimml Waterfall. For a waterfall with a difference, visit the spa town of Bad Gastein, whose falls roar straight through the heart of town. From the town, take the cable car to the summit of Stubnerkogel Mountain and walk Europe’s highest suspension bridge.
The Salzburg region is full of surprises, so before heading back to the city, head underground, into the Hallein Salt Mine. From its salt mines to its symphonies, from its fountains to its waterfalls, Salzburg plays out like a living opera, filled with drama, comedy, intrigue and passion.

Munich is the largest city and the capital of the German state of Bavaria, and it is also the third largest city in Germany, after Berlin and Hamburg. Munich is a mix of modern architecture and historic buildings and has major universities, museums and theaters.
Munich is well-known for its professional sport teams such as Bayern Munich, Germany's most important club. The city has also hosted the 1972 Summer Olympics and was one of the host cities for the 2006 Football World Cup.
You can visit numerous parks in Munich, and one of the world's largest urban public parks is the 'Englischer Garten', situated near the city centre, and contains jogging tracks and bridle-paths.
Moreover, the city centre of Munich is famous for its large open square named 'Marienplatz' with the Marian column in its centre. There are also many shops, restaurants and breweries where you can buy some local products like the 'Weissbier', a famous Bavarian beer. In fact, Germany is the third largest beer consumer in the world.
In July, you can go to several festivals in Munich like the 'Greenfields Open Air', the 'Kocherlball' or the 'Tyrolean Festival Erl'.

Sallach, Niederbayern Videorundfahrt durchs schönste Dorf Bayerns
Sallach ist ein ruhiges, von bayerischen Traditionen geprägtes Dorf im Tal der Kleinen Laaber im westlichen Teil des Landkreises Straubing-Bogen . Es liegt an der Staatsstraße 2142 ca. 20 km von Straubing entfernt in Richtung Mallersdorf-Pfaffenberg.
Sallach ist Ortsteil der 3 km entfernten Stadt Geiselhöring und hat ca. 600 Einwohner, die sich aus den verschiedenen Arbeiterschichten, Selbständigen und den restlichen übrig gebliebenen Landwirten zusammen setzen.
Es liegt auf 360 m über Meereshöhe und misst ca. 1 km in seiner längsten Ausdehnung.
Gewerbebetriebe in Sallach sind Schreinerei, Estrichleger, Metzgerei, Gärtnerei, Autohaus (Peugeot), 3 Gaststätten und eine Wein-Probierstube, Friseursalon, Maniküre/Pediküre, Elektroinstallation, Getränkemarkt, Schlosserei/Spenglerei, Reifenzubehör, Physiotherapie, Computersysteme, sowie bäuerliche Selbstvermarkter mit Partyservice.
Freizeitgestaltungsmöglichkeiten bieten in sportlicher Hinsicht der Sportverein (SV Sallach) mit seinen vier Abteilungen Fußball, Tennis, Schloss-Schützen und Eisstockschützen, der Eishockeyclub mit Eishockey und Skifahrten, sowie die Sportfischer.
In gesellschaftlicher Hinsicht bieten die Freiwillige Feuerwehr, der Obst- und Gartenbauverein, Landjugendgruppe, Krieger- und Soldatenkameradschaft, sowie die zahlreichen Stammtischvereinigungen nicht zuletzt auch in den drei gemütlichen Gasthäusern vielerlei Möglichkeiten .
Sehenswert in Sallach ist die im Ortzentrum liegende Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus, umgebaut wie sie heute steht um 1613 im Barockstil mit vielen, vor kurzem renovierten Wand- und Deckengemälden, sowie das unmittelbar daneben liegende Schloss. Letzteres wurde um 1221 erstmals erwähnt, 1575 umgebaut und stellt sich dar als dreigeschossiger Bau mit rechteckigem Grundriss mit steilen Staffelgiebeln an der West- und Ostseite. An den Ecken der Ostseite, der Schauseite, finden sich zweigeschossige Runderker auf rechteckigen Pfeilervorlagen. Das Schloss befindet sich heute im Privatbesitz der Fam. Weinzierl.
