Jalhay is a municipality of Belgium. It lies in the country's Walloon Region and Province of Liege. On January 1, 2006, Jalhay had a total population of 7,953. The total area is 107.75 km² which gives a population density of 74 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following sub-municipalities: Jalhay proper and Sart . The highest point of the municipality is the Baraque Michel in the High Fens, at 674 metres .

In de zomermaanden is de rivier de Hoëgne ( Ardennen )een rustige kabbelende rivier en is het avontuurlijk wandelen langs zijn rotsige oevers, en zijn vele brugjes. In het najaar of winter, of bij regenweer, kan deze rivier woest te keer gaan, en verandert ze in een kolkende bergstroom. Een ideetje voor in 't najaar.....

#063 - Erop Uit! - De Hoëgne

Erop Uit! is deze keer bij de rivier De Hoëgne in België.

De Hoëgne (Waals: (Aiwe di) Hoûgne) is een rivier in de Belgische provincie Luik. Ze is een zijrivier van de Vesder en heeft een lengte van 30 kilometer. De Hoëgne behoort tot het stroomgebied van de Maas.
