Lotus Pond Market - Wholesale Shopping in China
One of the largest wholesale markets in China is located south of Chengdu's North Rail Station. The Lotus Pond Market or He Hua Chi (荷花池市场) seems to go forever. It's alleys, streets, and buildings all packed with shops. Many of the stores around the city get their supply from Lotus Pond Market. If you want to buy in bulk, or you're looking for a decent price, this is the place to shop. Just be sure to barter hard.

Jinhua Mountain (金华山)
Located just outside of Ping Le Ancient Town in Sichuan province is a quiet, peaceful, spiritual mountain. With elements of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, this scenic spot makes for a great morning hike. Unlike many tourism spots in China, which are overrun by people and vendors, this place doesn't even have a ticket office and mostly attracts people who come simply to light candles or burn incense and say a prayer or make a wish. It's one of those places that reminds me why I love living in China.

Kunming, the modern capital city and transportation hub of China’s southern Yunnan province, has a large student population and a temperate year-round climate.
