The refuge is located just off Interstate 5, between the cities of Tacoma and Olympia. The 12.6 km2 refuge was created in 1974 to provide habitat and nesting areas for waterfowl and other migratory birds. Pictures of an almost vacant campground near the Mossy Rock Reservoir. This was our first venture out camping in a rented tent trailer. We wanted to experience living in one before we decided whether we wanted to own one. As a result, Rannah retired after 30 plus years at the same job, we bought a brand new trailer that is bigger and better equipped than the one pictured here, and I retired after being an Operating Engineer/Lawyer/Big Rig Driver for 43 years. And in a week we will be living on the road in that new trailer starting on our first excursion visiting Rannah's dad in Tennessee. How cool is that?
