An diesem Tag erkunden wir die Insel Lantau, eine Nachbarinsel und die größte Insel, die zur Inselgruppe Hongkong gehört. Dafür ist Lantau vergleichsweise gering besiedelt. Hier auf Lantau steht auch der größte Bronzebuddha der Welt, der imposant auf einem Berg thront. Dieser ist überhalb des Dorfes Ngong Ping mit dem bekannten Kloster Po Lin. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Seilbahnfahrt, die wieder zurück ins Tal geht.
