Nesna is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the Helgeland traditional region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Nesna. Other villages in Nesna include Handnesneset, Husby, Saura, and Vikholmen. The municipality consists of the three islands Tomma, Hugla , and Handnesøya, and one peninsula that bears the name of the municipality, Nesna. The old Husby Estate is headquartered in Husby on Tomma island. The Coastal Express arrives two times a day at the port of Nesna, the northbound arrives 05:30 and the southbound 11:15. 1. Havmannen Mo I Rana
Havmannen, or Havmann is a granite stone sculpture by the English artist Antony Gormley located in the city of Mo i Rana in Northern Norway. The sculpture stands proud in the Ranfjord in the city of Mo i Rana, which is often referred to in Norway as Polarsirkelbyen . The sculpture is 11 metres tall, weighs 60 tonnes , and according to Lonely Planet is forever up to his knees in water, turns his back on the town and gazes resolutely out over the fjord.The artist originally envisaged the sculpture being created in steel, based on the traditional steel industry which was one of the pillars of industrial Mo i Rana, and placed in the fjord to illustrate the sharp contrasts between nature and industry. NORWAY ROAD TRIP: HELGELAND COAST

On our two week road trip through Northern Norway Dan and I drove down the Helgeland coast (Helgelandskysten) - probably the most beautiful drive in Norway. Even on a rainy day it was amazing. We stopped outside of Bodø at Saltstraumen, which is the world's most powerful maelstrom tidal current, Ureddplassen, a public toilet that many have called the most beautiful toilet in the world, Svartisen glacier, Norway's second largest glacier, several ferries, and many other scenic spots before arriving in Mosjøen.
