➤”Šibenik (Italian: Sebenico) is a historic city in Croatia, located in central Dalmatia where the river Krka flows into the Adriatic Sea. Šibenik is a political, educational, transport, industrial and tourist center of Šibenik–Knin County and also the third-largest city in the historic region of Dalmatia. It is the oldest native Croatian town on the shores of the sea.
Unlike other cities along the Adriatic coast, which were established by Greeks, Illyrians and Romans, Šibenik was founded by Croats. Excavations of the castle of St. Michael, have since proven that the place was inhabited long before the actual arrival of the Croats. It was mentioned for the first time under its present name in 1066 in a Charter of the Croatian King Petar Krešimir IV and, for a period of time, it was a seat of this Croatian King. For that reason, Šibenik is also called Krešimirov grad (Krešimir's city).”

Krka Nemzeti Park – Horvátország. /Krka National Park - Croatia/
Krka Nemzeti Park – Horvátország. /Relaxation/ A fotókat nyáron készítettem Horvátország –i kirándulásunk alkalmával. Főleg a park felső részével ismerkedtünk, a fotók többsége is ott készült. Köszönöm szépen a véleményeket és az érdeklődést.
Krka Közép-Dalmácia legnagyobb folyója. A Knin melletti Dinaridák lábánál ered és keskeny sziklafalak között, vízeséseken, tavakon keresztül jut el a tengerbe. Plitvice mellett, a Krka-folyó csaknem teljes egészét magába foglaló Krka Nemzeti Park Horvátország másik lenyűgöző, szemet gyönyörködtető nemzeti parkja. Vízesései, sziklái lélegzetelállítóak. Különleges állat- és növényvilága figyelemre méltó, valamint régi építészeti műemlékek is megtalálhatók a területen. A 109 km2 területet felölelõ Krka Nemzeti Parkot 1985-ben minõsítették nemzeti parkká.
A Krka Nemzeti Park fő látványossága a nagy vízesés a Skradinski buk. A nagy vízesés több kisebb-nagyobb vízesésből áll. A Skradinski buk 400 méter hosszú és 100 méter széles területet foglal magában. A vízesés legmagasabb és legalacsonyabb pontja között 48 méter színt különbség van. Ez Európa egyik legszebb mészkő vízesése. Itt a nagy vízesés medencéjében fürdeni is lehet.
A Krka Nemzeti Park második legnépszerűbb látványossága a Miljevci környékén lévő Roski Slap vízesés (kiránduló hajóval és úton is elérhető), valamint a Visovac-sziget kedvelt, ahol egy 15. századi ferences rendi kolostor látható. A Visovaci ferences kolostor nagy vízesés feletti kikötõbõl érhetõ el. A kolostor egy kis szigeten található, ahova csak a Krka Nemzeti Park által szervezett túrán keresztül juthatunk el. A kolostorban egy kis múzeum található.
Primošten, Croatia - Postcard
Primošten is a town in Croatia, and a part of the Šibenik-Knin County. It is situated in the south, between the cities of Šibenik and Trogir, on the Adriatic coast.
It is built on a hill and is dominated by the parish church of St. George which was built in 1485 and restored in 1760 close to the local graveyard from which a unique view spreads to the sea and the surroundings.
Apart from its vineyards, Primošten is also known for the traditional donkey race that takes place there every summer. The largest beach in Primošten is called Raduča, and its smaller part, Mala Raduča, is voted one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Croatia.
