Spuzzum is an unincorporated settlement in British Columbia, Canada. Because it is on the Trans-Canada Highway, approximately 50 kilometres north of the community of Hope, it is often referred to as being beyond Hope. Spuzzum was immortalized in the early 1980s by the band Six Cylinder in a song with the refrain If you haven't been to Spuzzum, you ain't been anywhere.

Golden Ears Provincial Park is a Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada at 555.9 km². It is named after the prominent twin peaks which are commonly referred to as Golden Ears . The park's southern end is located on the northern edge of the district municipality of Maple Ridge on the north side of the Fraser River. The park was originally part of Garibaldi Provincial Park but was split off as a separate park in 1967.

Alouette Lake, originally Lillooet Lake and not to be confused with the lake of that name farther north, is a lake and reservoir in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada. It is located at the southeast foot of the mountain group known as the Golden Ears and is about 16 km in length on a northeast-southwest axis. It and the Alouette River, formerly the Lillooet River, were renamed in 1914 to avoid confusion with the larger river and lake farther north, with Alouette, the French word for lark, being chosen as being melodious and reminiscent of the original name in tone. The Fort Harrison Hotel serves as the flagship building of the Flag Land Base, the Church of Scientology's spiritual headquarters in Clearwater, Florida. It is owned and operated by the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization, Inc., a subsidiary of the Church of Scientology International. The hotel has 11 stories and features 220 rooms, three restaurants, a swimming pool and a ballroom. The building is connected by a skywalk to the Flag Building.

The Yale Cariboo Wagon Road was built in 1865 and ran from Yale on Fraser's River all the way to Barkerville and the gold riches of nearby Williams Creek. The road wound north via the spectacular Fraser Canyon route over Hell's Gate and Jackass Mountain and connected to the earlier Cariboo Road at Clinton.
