Thiersee is a large municipality in the Kufstein district in the Austrian state of Tyrol located 5 km west of Kufstein, below the northern border with Bavaria, Germany. The village was mentioned for the first time in documents in 1224 and belonged to Bavaria until 1504. At the beginning of the 20th century Thiersee was a peasant community without concerning traffic engineering. A street from Kufstein to Thiersee was built during World War I. From 1946 to 1952, the village was center of the Austrian film production. Main sources of income at present are agriculture, passion play and tourism.

The SkiWelt is Austria's largest interconnected ski area. It has 90 Cable car lifts and Ski lifts, 280 Kilometers of Ski Pistes, and 77 Ski Huts. The member villages are: Brixen im Thale, Ellmau, Going, Hopfgarten, Itter, Kelchsau, Scheffau, Söll and Westendorf.

This is a single-pipe alpine coaster in Mieders, Austria. You reach the summit via a cablecar and then sit on a small car with a brake lever and off you go. Having ridden it once using a little braking, I decided to try it a second time without using the brakes. This is SCARY! Enjoy the ride!

Lake Fuschlsee in Austria - بحيرة فسشل سي في النمسا

Lake Fuschl am see is a 4km long and 1km wide with a max depth of over 60m. The lake is located in the Salzkammergut region of Austria. There are a number of accommodation options on the east side of the lake, the west side is known for sun bathers as there are many hideaways and secluded areas to be isolated with the nature! People usually rent electric boats and occupy a little beach surrounded by trees and mountains.

The area is good for family picnics and many other sports including hiking in the well maintained paths and of course swimming as the lake is very clean and it has a drinkable quality (I wouldn't drink from it) but this is what everyone says! All the boats in the lake are running by electric motors so the water remains clean and not hurting the marine environment with the noise too, I bet fish are so happy about that; I was able to see them from the boat as some areas of the lake has crystal clear waters and you can see the bottom. We did enjoy a half day in this lovely lake, rented a boat (If not mistaken Euro 5-10) located behind Hotel Seerose, had lunch in Restaurant Stiegl (spaghetti, green salad, nuggets, boiled eggs, 3 soft drinks = Euro 31).

Fuschl see is 18km away from Salzburg, 50km from Berchtesgaden and 291km from Vienna. I would make Salzburg as a base to visit the area. Please have a look at below photo album, click for captions.
