It is similar to alpine slides where a low-wheeled sled is used to navigate the track, but instead of running over smooth concave tracks like the alpine slide, alpine coasters run on rails with up-stop wheels like traditional roller coasters. Thus, an alpine coaster isn't necessarily safer due to the jerky movements the cart makes as it navigates its way on a fixed track. Alpine coasters are undoubtedly slower than an alpine slide since alpine coasters have speed regulated carts that prevent a rider from experiencing the track at full speed. We stopped on the tour to italy in the very beautiful typical austrian Lienz. The city was ideal for a short break on our long tour trough the dolomite alps. The alleyway with some restaurants and shops was ideal for load up our conditions. It's a very nice town between the mountains of dolomites alps !
Wir machten eine Pause in der letzten größeren Ortschaft vor der italienischen Grenze auf österreichischer Seite. Schnell stellten wir fest, dass Lienz mit seinen typischen Gassen und den vielen Wirtschaften und Shops eine kleine Metropole mitten in den Osttiroler Bergen ist. Ein Spaziergang durch die Messinggasse war eine gute Idee.

The Human Cannon Ball at Area 47, Otztal, Tirol, Austria
The Human Cannon Ball is one of the more extreme activities on offer at Area 47 near Otztal in the Austran Tirol. The centre styles itself as the Ultimate Outdoor Playground and certainly offers some extreme activities in its water park and the surrounding countryside.
