Valtopina is a comune in the Province of Perugia in the Italian region Umbria, located about 30 km east of Perugia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,399 and an area of 40.5 km².The municipality of Valtopina contains the frazioni Giove, Sasso, Poggio, Ponte Rio, Balciano, Santa Cristina, Gallano, and Casatommaso. Valtopina borders the following municipalities: Assisi, Foligno, Nocera Umbra, Spello.

1. Cascata delle Marmore Marmore
The Cascata delle Marmore is a man-made waterfall created by the ancient Romans. Its total height is 165 m , making it the tallest man-made waterfall in the world. Of its 3 sections, the top one is the tallest, at 83 m . It is located 7.7 km from Terni, a provincial capital of the Italian region of Umbria. Its source is a portion of the waters of the river Velino , after flowing through Piediluco lake near the community of Marmore. It pours into the valley below formed by the river Nera. Its flow is turned on and off according to a published schedule, to satisfy the needs of tourists and the power company alike. Tourists try to be there the moment the gates are opened to see the powerful rush of water.

A 17th century villa in a private garden, it is a home away from home for group of 18-25 guests who wish to discover the pleasures and treasures of Umbria in an authentic environment. There are a total of 10 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. On site, there is also a 2 room cottage with a resident manager.

Villa Santini is let in its entirety rather than a hotel or guest house and is designed to provide both peaceful places of retreat and areas to dine, work and play together as a group.
