    Noord-Nederlands Trein & Tram Museum is a railway museum in Zuidbroek in the Netherlands. It is situated in the 19th-century building of the Zuidbroek railway station.In 2011, the Province of Groningen gave 100,000 euro of subsidy for the restoration of the station building and the exploitation of the museum. The museum was opened on 10 October 2014 by State Secretary for Infrastructure and the Environment Wilma Mansveld. It had 1,517 visitors in 2014 and 3,868 visitors in 2015.The museum is a member of the Museumhuis Groningen , which is an umbrella organization for museums and heritage institutions in the province of Groningen.

    Fort Bourtange is a star fort in the village of Bourtange, Groningen, Netherlands. It was built under orders of William the Silent and completed in 1593. Its original purpose was to control the only road between Germany and the city of Groningen, which was controlled by the Spaniards during the time of the Eighty Years' War. After experiencing its final battle in 1672, the Fort continued to serve in the defensive network on the German border until it was finally given up in 1851 and converted into a village. Fort Bourtange currently serves as a historical museum.
