Cocktails in The Clouds: New York's Highest Hotel Rooftop Opens Bar Inside Two Bubbles
Bar 54 at the Hyatt Times Square has installed two domes on its terrace. Guests can revel in their wintery cocoons, as they dine on small plates. Cocktails are from $26 (£18), and guests have to buy at least two per sitting. There is now a place in New York where you can literally enjoy life in a bubble - lubricated by a supply of sky-high cocktails. Bar 54 at the Hyatt Times Square, which is the highest hotel rooftop bar in New York, has installed two quirky bubbles on its terrace. Guests can sit in their transparent domes taking in views of the Chrysler Building and Times Square from 54 floors up. Bubble East and Bubble West, as they have been named, have been decked out in mid-century furniture, complete with furry rugs and blankets. While the rest of the world are huddling in cramped bars, guests can revel in their wintery cocoons, dining on small plates and taking in the spectacular view. Of course those looking for an evening in a Manhattan bubble must be willing to pay for the luxury. Cocktails in The Bubbles are priced from $26 (around £18), and guests have to buy at least two drinks per person, making the total price similar to other New York viewing attractions. For example, it costs $52 to reach the top of the Empire State Building but this is without the alcohol concoctions offered at Hyatt Times Square. Pods can be booked out as a whole or shared among revellers, with each one holding ten people or three separate tables. Open from 4pm - late daily, the unique bar experience has to be booked in advance online to secure a spot.

Liberty Inn - Famous Hotel And Night Club In New York
The Liberty Inn is one of the last remaining by-the-hour-hotels in the neighborhood. The Liberty Inn has a long, history. It began as a boarding house for sailors and later, during Prohibition, it became a speakeasy. Its most notorious period was as The Anvil, a gay club famous for graphic go-go dancing and live sex shows in the 1970s.
This video was shot from the New York High Line. It also shows the former pier area along the Hudson River, including the remains of Cunard Pier Number 54, where survivors of the Titanic disembarked after the disaster in 1912.

The Beauty of the world around us.
The City of New York, usually referred to as either New York City (NYC) or simply New York (NY), is the most populous city in the United States. With an estimated 2018 population of 8,398,748 distributed over a land area of about 302.6 square miles (784 km2), New York is also the most densely populated major city in the United States.[10] Located at the southern tip of the state of New York, the city is the center of the New York metropolitan area, the largest metropolitan area in the world by urban landmass[11] and one of the world's most populous megacities,[12][13] with an estimated 19,979,477 people in its 2018 Metropolitan Statistical Area and 22,679,948 residents in its Combined Statistical Area.[3][4] A global power city,[14] New York City has been described as the cultural,[15][16][17][18][19] financial,[20][21] and media capital of the world,[22][23] and exerts a significant impact upon commerce,[21] entertainment, research, technology, education, politics, tourism, art, fashion, and sports. The city's fast pace[24][25][26] has inspired the term New York minute.[27] Home to the headquarters of the United Nations,[28] New York is an important center for international diplomacy.[29][30]
Situated on one of the world's largest natural harbors,[31][32] New York City consists of five boroughs, each of which is a separate county of the State of New York.[33] The five boroughs – Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, The Bronx, and Staten Island – were consolidated into a single city in 1898.[34] The city and its metropolitan area constitute the premier gateway for legal immigration to the United States.[35] As many as 800 languages are spoken in New York,[36][37][38] making it the most linguistically diverse city in the world.[37][39][40] New York City is home to more than 3.2 million residents born outside the United States,[41] the largest foreign-born population of any city in the world.[42] As of 2019, the New York metropolitan area is estimated to produce a gross metropolitan product (GMP) of US$1.9 trillion.[8] If greater New York City were a sovereign state, it would have the 12th highest GDP in the world.[43] New York is home to the highest number of billionaires of any city in the world.[44]
New York City traces its origins to a trading post founded by colonists from the Dutch Republic in 1624 on Lower Manhattan; the post was named New Amsterdam in 1626.[45] The city and its surroundings came under English control in 1664[45] and were renamed New York after King Charles II of England granted the lands to his brother, the Duke of York.[46] New York was the capital of the United States from 1785 until 1790,[47] and has been the largest US city since 1790.[48] The Statue of Liberty greeted millions of immigrants as they came to the U.S. by ship in the late 19th and early 20th centuries[49] and is an international symbol of the U.S. and its ideals of liberty and peace.[50] In the 21st century, New York has emerged as a global node of creativity and entrepreneurship,[51] social tolerance,[52] and environmental sustainability,[53][54] and as a symbol of freedom and cultural diversity.[55] In 2019, New York was voted the greatest city in the world per a survey of over 30,000 people from 48 cities worldwide, citing its cultural diversity.[15]
Many districts and landmarks in New York City are well known, including three of the world's ten most visited tourist attractions in 2013;[56] a record 62.8 million tourists visited in 2017.[57] Several sources have ranked New York the most photographed city in the world.[58][59] Times Square, iconic as the world's heart[60] and crossroads,[61] is the brightly illuminated hub of the Broadway Theater District,[62] one of the world's busiest pedestrian intersections,[63][64] and a major center of the world's entertainment industry.[65] The names of many of the city's landmarks, skyscrapers,[66] and parks are known internationally. Manhattan's real estate market is among the most expensive in the world.[67][68] New York is home to the largest ethnic Chinese population outside of Asia,[69][70] with multiple distinct Chinatowns across the city.[71][72][73] Providing continuous 24/7 service,[74] the New York City Subway is the largest single-operator rapid transit system worldwide, with 472 rail stations.[75][76][77] The city has over 120 colleges and universities, including Columbia University, New York University, and Rockefeller University, ranked among the top universities in the world.

⁴ᴷ⁶⁰ Walking NYC : New York City Hall Area & Civic Center, Manhattan
Google Maps Route:
A walk through New York's Civic Center, walking through streets such as Centre Street, Broadway, Chambers Street, Duane Street, Worth Street, and Foley Square.
From Wikipedia:
The Civic Center is the area of lower Manhattan, New York City, that encompasses New York City Hall, One Police Plaza, the courthouses in Foley Square, and the surrounding area. The district is bound on the west by Tribeca at Broadway, on the north by Chinatown at Worth Street or Bayard Street, on the east by the East River and the Brooklyn Bridge at South Street, and on the south by the Financial District at Ann Street.
Although government-related activities are predominant, other pursuits also occur within the district, including entertainment, industrial activity, residential dwellings, and warehousing. For example, there are Chinese restaurants near Civic Center's border with Chinatown, in addition to some museums and some residential buildings in the Civic Center area. The area is roughly 10 blocks long and 5 blocks wide, but is far less dense than most of Manhattan, where the average number of residents for an area that size is 35,000; the Civic Center has approximately 20,000 residents.
The Jacob K. Javits Federal Building is located in the area. It includes the Federal Bureau of Investigation New York field office.
Non-government buildings include the 387 feet (118 m) 15 Park Row, an office and residential building which was the city's highest from 1899 to 1908. 150 Nassau Street, a 21-story granite building, was once a publisher's building, as were many in the area, but is now a residential building, as is 38 Park Row. The 76-story 8 Spruce Street is among the world's tallest residential buildings. Southbridge Towers, once Mitchell-Lama affordable housing, is now market-rate housing.

New York City NYC Manhattan Big Apple USA Gotham Borough HiDef Video with a Stereo Sound
The City of New York, most often called New York City, is the most populous city in the United States, in a metropolitan area that ranks among the world's most-populous urban areas. It is a leading global city, exerting a powerful influence over worldwide commerce, finance, culture, and entertainment. The city is also an important center for international affairs, hosting the United Nations headquarters. Located on the Atlantic coast of the Northeastern United States, the city consists of five distinct boroughs: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. It is the most densely populated major city in the United States, with an estimated 8,274,527 people occupying just less than 305 square miles (790 km2). The New York metropolitan area's population is also the nation's highest, estimated at 19,750,000 people over 6,720 square miles (17,400 km2) in three states. New York is largely unique among American cities for its high use of mass transit, and the overall density and diversity of its population. In 2005, nearly 170 languages were spoken in the city and 36% of its population was born outside the United States. The city is sometimes referred to as The City That Never Sleeps due to its extensive 24-hour subway system and constant bustling of traffic and people, while other nicknames include Gotham and the Big Apple. Founded as a commercial trading post by the Dutch in 1624, it served as the capital of the United States from 1785 until 1790, and has been the nation's largest city since 1790. The Statue of Liberty greeted millions of immigrants as they came to America in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Wall Street, in Lower Manhattan, has been a dominant global financial center since World War II and is home to the New York Stock Exchange. Today, the city has many renowned landmarks and neighborhoods that are world famous. The city has been home to several of the tallest buildings in the world, including the Empire State Building and the twin towers of the former World Trade Center

Inside Grand Central Terminal, Midtown Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA
On our way back to the hotel after a very full first day, we went had a look inside one of the most talked about places - Grand Central Terminal.
Grand Central Terminal is a terminal station at 42nd Street and Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, United States.
Built by and named for the New York Central Railroad in the heyday of American long-distance passenger trains, it is the largest train station in the world by number of platforms: 44, with 67 tracks along them.
They are on two levels, both below ground, with 41 tracks on the upper level and 26 on the lower, though the total number of tracks along platforms and in rail yards exceeds 100.
The terminal covers an area of 48 acres (19 ha) and serves commuters traveling on the Metro-North Railroad to Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess counties in New York State, and Fairfield and New Haven counties in Connecticut.
Although the terminal has been properly called Grand Central Terminal since 1913, many people continue to refer to it as Grand Central Station.
Grand Central Station is the name of the nearby post office, as well as the name of a previous rail station on the site, and it is also used to refer to a New York City subway station at the same location.
Besides platforms, Grand Central has restaurants (the most famous of which is the Oyster Bar) and fast food outlets (surrounding the Dining Concourse on the level below the Main Concourse), delis, bakeries, newsstands, a gourmet and fresh food market, an annex of the New York Transit Museum, and more than forty retail stores. Grand Central generally contains only private outlets and small franchises. There are no chain outlets in the complex, except for a Starbucks coffee shop and a Rite Aid pharmacy/convenience store.
