NYC Biking - Central Park
On May 27th, 2013 my friend and I decided to take a bike ride through Manhattan, New York. I decided to wear a camera on my helmet so that I can record the beautiful ride, and these are the results! I decided to speed it up 2 times to make the film shorter. Enjoy!

He was riding down a road blocked for the Presidential motorcade at 6pm
Footage from a witness shows him being tackled and handcuffed
New York man was then given a court summons for disorderly conduct
The NYPD arrested a Citi bike rider on Wednesday night who was attempting to 'penetrate' a road block set up for President Obama’s motorcade in Manhattan.
However, judging by video of the cyclist being tackled by the cops and handcuffed, he was completely oblivious to the fact he was riding into a major security situation.
Captured by a witness, the cellphone footage shows an officer lunging at the man as he approached the intersection of 50th Street and Park Avenue shortly after 6pm.
However the road itself was not physically blocked, just the sidewalk, as the cyclist made his way down.
'Stop!': Cops signal a New York man on a Citi bike to stop before tackling him to the ground in Manhattan
While there were no visible blocks in place, the road had been closed for the Presidential motorcade Tuesday
Restrianed: The incident occurred seconds before the motorcade came along 50th Street
Officers on scene shouted and signaled for him to stop before grabbing him.
The man was then held down and arrested, as a secret service agent stood close by, as seen in the video.
Police have not identified the man, however they confirmed he was from New York.
He was not taken into custody, but given a court summons for disorderly conduct.
Obama was in New York to tape an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Roads were temporarily closed all over Manhattan during peak-hour traffic as the motorcade made its way through.

Citi bike, New York's bike share system, was launched in 2013 and is the largest of its kind in the nation, NBC New York reported.
On the show President Obama called on Democrats to start 'pulling things together' in an appearance on Jimmy Fallon as sources say Elizabeth Warren will endorse Hillary Clinton – and has not ruled out serving as her running mate.
Obama's first public comments at the end of the divisive primary fight came during a taped appearance on NBC's Tonight Show.
The president sad he hoped that divisions between Democrats would start to heal in coming weeks, now that his former secretary of state has clinched the party's nomination for the presidential election.

Cycling from Detroit, MI to Niagara Falls, NY
In July 2014 I took a nearly 400 mile cycling trip from just outside Detroit, MI to Niagara Falls, NY around the US shore of Lake Erie. This trip took me through 4 states (MI, OH, PA, NY) over 6 days (~65 mi/day). My wife, Amy, helped and supported me on the ride (like rescuing me when I got two flat tires at the same time within the first hour of riding). Amy and I wrote and recorded that song together so I'd have some great background music for this video.

bike workshop buffalo new york
Buffalo ( /ˈbʌfəloʊ/) is the second most populous city in the state of New York, after New York City.[1] Located in Western New York on the eastern shores of Lake Erie and at the head of the Niagara River across from Fort Erie, Ontario, Buffalo is the seat of Erie County[5] and the principal city of the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area, the largest in Upstate New York. Buffalo itself has a population of 261,310 (2010 Census) and the Buffalo--Niagara--Cattaraugus Combined Statistical Area is home to 1,215,826 residents.
Originating around 1789 as a small trading community near the eponymous Buffalo Creek,[3] Buffalo grew quickly after the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825, with the city as its western terminus. By 1900, Buffalo was the 8th largest city in the United States,[6] and went on to become a major railroad hub,[7] and the largest grain-milling center in the country.[8] The latter part of the 20th century saw a reversal of fortunes: Great Lakes shipping was rerouted by the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway, and steel mills and other heavy industry relocated to places such as China.[9] With the start of Amtrak in the 1970s, Buffalo Central Terminal was also abandoned, and trains were rerouted to nearby Depew, New York (Buffalo-Depew) and Exchange Street Station. By 1990 the city had fallen back below its 1900 population levels.[10]
Today, the region's largest economic sectors are health care and education,[11] and these continue to grow despite the lagging national and worldwide economies.[12] This growth has been maintained, in part, by major expansions of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus[13] and the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.[14] The retail sector of Buffalo's economy has remained strong throughout the economic recession due to additional revenue from Canadian shoppers who wish to take advantage of lower prices and taxes on the American side of the border. A recent study found Buffalo's August 2011 unemployment rate to be 7.3%[15] In 2010, Forbes rated Buffalo the 10th best place to raise a family in America.
