As History or Politics students at St Cyres school, see us take to America on our Year 13 trip, starting our week away at Washington for 2 days before travelling to New York for the rest of the trip. Over the course of the week we were able to visit incredible places such as the White House, Abraham Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Memorial, Vietnam & Korean War Memorials, the JFK Memorial, 9/11 Memorial as well as the Capitol Building, Smithsonian Space Museum, Statue of Liberty etc. We were also able to attend baseball games for the Washington Nationals and the New York Yankees as well as attend a show on broadway, Chicago. All of that on top of shopping at times square, meals at places like the Hard Rock Cafe and Buba Gumps as well as views from the top of the Rockefeller center made for an extremely brilliant experience.
So grateful to of had the opportunity to go and definitely somewhere I'd love to go again.
The trip was ran and led by Mr Britt, Mrs Jones and Mr Bruton who made it an all around enjoyable and unforgettable experience, providing plenty of laughs and banter.

A Hard Rock Hotel, which had been under construction for the last several months in downtown New Orleans, has collapsed.
Upper floors began to fall on top of each other before the Basin Street side of the building fell to the ground below. Two large cranes, being used to construct the building, could be seen swaying after the collapse.
