Bail & Bond Process In New York City For Federal Crimes
Federal procedures are different from those in a state court. In order to get the most reasonable sentence make sure your federal criminal attorney knows the federal regulations and procedures.
Sam. A. Schmidt, a criminal defence lawyer at Joseph Potashnik and Associates tells about the federal bail & bond process and what you can do to get your loved one out of jail as soon as possible.
He explains what procedures your loved one will have to go through after being arrested. He also tells about the what the bail & bond procedure really and specifies the requirements for co-signers.
The lawyer also explains why it’s important for a suspect to comply will all requirements of the bond. A suspect should realize that a bond is a contract between him, the government and co-signers. If he fails to comply with all requirements, not only he will suffer the consequences – the government may collect up to the full amount of the bond from the suspect and each of his co-signers. Sometimes the bail appears the only chance to be released so it’s crucial to have an experienced lawyer who knows how to act even in the most complicated cases.
The federal lawyers at Joseph Potashnik and Associates have handled more than a 1000 criminal cases and can provide you with a legal advice on your specific case.

Ruth Pollack, Esq. Testimony New York Senate Judiciary Committee
New York Senate Judiciary Committee Hearings
Public Hearing: Standing Committee On The Judiciary New York Senate Judiciary Committee John L. Sampson Chairman
SUBJECT: The Appellate Division First Department Departmental Disciplinary Committee, the grievance committees of the various Judicial Districts and the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct
PURPOSE: This hearing will review the mission, procedures and level of public satisfaction with the Appellate Division First Department Departmental Disciplinary Committee, the grievance committees of the various Judicial Districts as well as the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct
Bernstein's Testimony outlines a wide and broad range of corruption, theft of the Trillion dollar technologies, forgery and fraudulent Patents and Intellectual Property filings, Fraud on the US & Foreign Patent Offices, Fraud on the Small Business Administration and other foul play, including the Attempted Murder of the Bernstein Family. Attempted Murder via a car bombing of their Family Minivan in Boynton Beach, Florida as Mr. Bernstein and his wife were preparing filings in the US Courts. The car bombing was so strong as to take out 3 cars in the incident with full pictorial evidence available at iviewit.tv.
The saga now commonly known as Patentgate has tentacles to involvement by the controversial Florida State Supreme Court Judge Jorge LaBarga involved in the Bush 2000 Florida Election debacle, as well as ties to the collapse of Enron and Arthur Andersen thru Enron Broadband and Blockbuster as well as tentacles to public office and professional corruption involving the Florida, Virginia & New York State Courts and Attorney regulatory processes. The seed investment of the Iviewit companies coming from founder of Blockbuster, Waste Management and former Miami Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga and his son.
Several law firms are alleged to be at the center of the Thefts and wrongdoing including the Proskauer Rose LLP law firm and Foley & Lardner LLP and others. Proskauer has had several high profile issues as of late especially due to a Worldwide Lawsuit over the involvement of the Firm and Partner Thomas Sjoblom in the $8 Billion Sir Allen Stanford Financial Ponzi scheme. Public reports have shown that Proskauer apparently had the most clients in the $65 Billion Madoff Ponzi scheme as well. Other links place Proskauer referred former patent counsel to Iviewit moving to convicted felon Marc S. Dreier and more.

Mail bombing suspect headed to New York for trial
By Kaja Whitehouse November 5, 2018 | 4:41pm | Updated
Cesar Sayoc is on his way from Miami to the Big Apple, where he will stand trial for sending illegal explosives through the mail.
Cesar Sayoc is on his way from Miami to the Big Apple, where he will stand trial for sending illegal explosives through the mail to more than a dozen Democrats, including Hillary Clinton and billionaire George Soros.
He will be presented to a Manhattan federal magistrate judge at noon on Election Day, where prosecutors will ask the judge to keep Sayoc, 56, locked up until trial.
In a letter to Magistrate Judge Robert Lehrburger, the feds argue that Sayoc should not be released under any condition because he is a danger to the community and a flight risk. They cited a second explosive device Sayoc allegedly sent to Trump opponent Thomas Steyer in California, which was uncovered late last week.
He has sent out 16 explosive devices in total, according to the feds.
Alleged mail bomber searched for 'wife and kids' of intended targets: feds
Prosecutors also pointed to a letter they sent to a Miami federal judge last week, which revealed Sayoc had added “shards of glass” in several of his packages to “maximize harm” to his intended targets. He also did searches online for the “wife and kids” of several of his intended targets, including former Attorney General Eric Holder, former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, prosecutors said.
“Although the government’s investigation is ongoing, the evidence gathered to date demonstrates the dangerousness of the defendant and creates significant incentives for him to flee,” they said.
The judge will take up the bail issue at Sayoc’s hearing Tuesday
