To some David Icke is a charismatic rebel fighting against the unseen powers which rule the world.
To others he is a dubious figure deserving of scorn and ridicule.
But whatever you may think of him, David is one of the world’s most prominent conspiracy theorists and has a global following to match.
His controversial claims include that the world is run by a secret cabal of alien lizards who appear to us as well-known public figures.
But there is more to him than meets the eye,
Long before his theories became public he was a professional footballer and, later, a prime-time BBC presenter and journalist.
So is he just another conspiracy crank? Or something else entirely?
Join me and David in the London Real studio and decide for yourself.

Sesame Street's 'Big Bird' puppeteer dies at 85
(8 Dec 2019) Caroll Spinney, who gave Big Bird his warmth and Oscar the Grouch his growl for nearly 50 years on “Sesame Street, died at the age of 85 at his home in the US state of Connecticut on Sunday, according to the Sesame Workshop.
The Sesame Workshop said in a statement that the legendary puppeteer had lived for some time with dystonia, which causes involuntary muscle contractions.
Spinney voiced and operated the two major Muppets from their inception in 1969 when he was 36, and performed them almost exclusively into his 80s on the children's television show.
Through his two characters, Spinney gained huge fame that brought international tours, books, record albums, movie roles, and visits to the White House.
Spinney gave “Sesame Street” its emotional yin and yang, infusing Big Bird with a childlike sweetness often used to handle sad subjects, and giving Oscar, whose voice he based on a New York cabbie, a street-wise cynicism that masked a tender core.
Born in 1933 in Waltham Massachusetts, Spinney had a deeply supportive mother who built him a puppet theatre after he bought his first puppet, a monkey, at age eight.
He spent four years in the US air force after high school, then returned to Massachusetts and broke into television.
He teamed up with fellow puppeteer Judy Valentine for their own daily series, then worked on a Boston version of the clown show “Bozo’s Big Top.”
Spinney in this period had three children, Jessica, Melissa and Benjamin, all from his 1960 to 1971 marriage to Janice Spinney.
He later married his second wife Debra in 1979, and the two were nearly inseparable for the rest of his life.
It was after a disastrous performance at a puppet festival in Utah that Spinney met Muppet master Jim Henson.
In his memoir, Spinney remembered Henson as coming backstage and telling him: “I liked what you were trying to do.”
Spinney would join the Muppet crew when “Sesame Street” was about to turn them from popular phenomenon into a US institution.
Henson brought his signature character, Kermit the Frog, to the show.
His right-hand man Frank Oz would become famous via Grover and Cookie Monster.
Together they created Ernie and Bert.
But Big Bird would become the show’s biggest star, his name and image synonymous with “Sesame Street.”
The character was usually used for comedy, but his innocence and questioning was also useful when serious subjects needed addressing.
When “Sesame Street” shopkeeper Mr. Hooper died, Big Bird had to get a lesson in accepting death, saying in the memorable 1983 episode that “he’s gotta come back... Who’s gonna make my birdseed milkshakes, and tell me stories?”
When Henson died suddenly in 1990 at age 53, leaving the Muppet world devastated, Big Bird played the same part in real life.
At the funeral, Spinney appeared alone on stage in full Big Bird costume and sang “It's Not Easy Bein' Green, Kermit’s signature song.
Sesame Street co-founder Joan Ganz Cooney said on Sunday that Spinney, her longtime colleague and friend, “not only gave us Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch, he gave so much of himself as well.

New Edition (Bobby Brown) - Candy Girl. Top Of The Pops 1983
Nice quality video recorded from Top Of The Pops 1983. Bobby Brown in New Edition they are an R&B group formed in Boston in 1978. The group reached its height of popularity during the 1980s. They were the progenitors of the boy band movement of the 1980s and 1990s and led the way for groups like New Kids on the Block, Boyz II Men, Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync.
At the height of their early popularity in 1983, the group consisted of Ronnie DeVoe, Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins, and Ricky Bell. Early hits included songs like 1983's Candy Girl and 1984's Cool It Now. Brown left in late 1985 to embark on a successful solo career. The group continued for a time with four members, but eventually recruited singer Johnny Gill to record their 1988 album Heart Break. The group went on hiatus in 1990, while its various members worked on side projects, such as the group Bell Biv Devoe. Gill and Tresvant also recorded successful solo albums.
All six members of the group reunited in 1996-1997 for the album Home Again, but during the ill-fated follow-up tour both Brown and Bivins quit the group, and the tour had to be canceled. Various reunions have occurred since, usually with the 1987-1990 lineup, though occasionally also including Bobby Brown. Their last studio release was 2004's One Love. As of 2010, two New Edition descendants are recording and touring: Bell Biv Devoe, and Heads of State, featuring Brown, Tresvant, and Gill.
The group would perform all around Massachusetts and would eventually land a spot at a talent show which was run by Maurice Starr. The first prize was $500.00 and a recording contract. Though New Edition came in 2nd place, Starr decided to bring the group to his studio the following day to record what would become their debut album, Candy Girl. Recorded in late 1982 and released in 1983 on Starr's Streetwise Records, the album featured the hits: Is This The End, Popcorn Love, Jealous Girl and the title track, which went to number one on both the American R&B singles chart and the UK singles chart.
Returning from their first major concert tour, the boys were dropped back off to their homes in the projects and were given a check in the amount of $1.87 a piece for their efforts. Tour budget and expenses were given as the explanation as to why they were not paid more. Due to financial reasons, New Edition parted company with Starr in 1984 (Starr responded by promptly creating the group New Kids on the Block; essentially formatted after New Edition, but with white teenagers.) The group, meanwhile, hired the law-firm of Steven and Martin Machat and sued Streetwise for relieve from a contract that was unenforceable as well as materially breached by Streetwise. The Machat's win the legal game and then secure the group a huge recording deal with MCA after having a bidding war amongst the Major Labels of that day. The band in need of management sign with Steven Machat and his two management partners Rick Smith and Bill Dern. The management company is called AMI and AMI proceeds to break the group both in the urban and pop world. MCA through the production affiliate of AMI, Jump and Shoot, released the groups self titled second album the same year. Eclipsing their debut album, New Edition spun off the top five hit Cool It Now and the top twenty Mr. Telephone Man, and went on to be certified double platinum in the United States.
AMI releases with MCA New Edition's third album, All for Love, was released in the latter half of 1985. While not duplicating the success of its predecessor, the album was certified platinum, and spawned the hits: Count Me Out, A Little Bit Of Love (Is All It Takes), and With You All The Way. The growing popularity of the group led to a guest appearance (as themselves) in the 1985 film Krush Groove, performing My Secret.
Toward the year's end, Christmas All Over The World, a holiday EP, was released as well as an oldies album of tunes from the fifties sang by the group with an 80's production style. All overseen and orchestrated by AMI.
In December 1985, under pressure from MCA and their management, the group was forced to vote Bobby Brown out, due to behavioral problems. Brown embarked on a solo career in 1986, while New Edition continued to promote All for Love as a quartet. In spite of their financial and internal conflicts, New Edition continued to peak. During this era of the group's evolution, the group (without Brown) appeared in the episode of Knight Rider titled Knight Song, performing Count Me Out. As 1986 wound to a close, they recorded a cover of The Penguins 1954 hit Earth Angel for the soundtrack to The Karate Kid, Part II. The song peaked at No.21 and inspired the group to record Under the Blue Moon, an album of doo-wop covers.

10 Missing Persons Cases with Strange Sightings
Whenever someone goes missing and their disappearance garners a lot of publicity, it’s inevitable that investigators will be flooded with tips from eyewitnesses claiming to have seen the victim. In most cases, these eyewitness sightings are never officially confirmed to be genuine, and it usually turns out that the witness saw someone else and mistook them for the missing person.
However, there are some cases in which eyewitnesses will provide specific details to make investigators believe that their sighting might be credible. While the following missing person’s cases are still unsolved, they all contain some very unusual eyewitness sightings that caused everyone to look at the case in a very different light.

SUMMARY
=======
Chicago ( (listen), locally also ), officially the City of Chicago, is the third most populous city in the United States. As of the 2017 census-estimate, Chicago has a population of 2,716,450, which makes it the most populous city in both the state of Illinois and the Midwestern United States. It is the county seat of Cook County, the second most populous county in the United States. Chicago is the principal city of the Chicago metropolitan area, which is often referred to as Chicagoland. The Chicago metropolitan area has nearly 10 million people, is the third-largest in the United States, the fourth largest in North America, and the third largest metropolitan area in the world by land area.
Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago was incorporated as a city in 1837 near a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed and grew rapidly in the mid-nineteenth century. After the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, which destroyed several square miles and left more than 100,000 homeless, the city made a concerted effort to rebuild. The construction boom accelerated population growth throughout the following decades, and by 1900 Chicago was one of the five largest cities in the world. During this period, Chicago made noted contributions to urban planning and zoning standards, including new construction styles (including the Chicago School of architecture), the development of the City Beautiful Movement, and the steel-framed skyscraper.Chicago is an international hub for finance, commerce, industry, technology, telecommunications, and transportation. It was the site of the creation of the first standardized futures contracts at the Chicago Board of Trade, which today is the largest and most diverse derivatives market in the world, generating 20% of all volume in commodities and financial futures. O'Hare International Airport is the one of the busiest airports in the world, and the region also has the largest number of U.S. highways and railroad freight. In 2012, Chicago was listed as an alpha global city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network, and it ranked seventh in the entire world in the 2017 Global Cities Index. Chicago has the fourth-largest gross metropolitan product in the world—generating about $670.5 billion according to September 2017 estimates—ranking it after the metropolitan areas of Tokyo, New York City, and Los Angeles, and ranking ahead of number five London and number six Paris.
