FSUPD officers receive the Key to the City
Tallahassee Mayor, Andrew Gillum, presents members of the Florida State University Police Department with the Key to the City for their quick response during the November 20, 2014 Strozier Library Shooting on FSU's campus.
Tragedy struck Florida State University early on the morning of November 20, 2014. A gunman opened fire at Strozier Library as hundreds of Florida State students were studying for final exams. Three were injured, one critically, but Florida State and Tallahassee first responders prevented even greater tragedy with their quick and professional actions.

Kinglsey Plantation - Ft. George Island, FL - Homeschool Field Trip
We took a field trip to Kingsley Plantation, on Fort George Island in North Florida. This video was shot in the information center where Betty gave a short hands-on lecture about the main crop on the plantation, Sea Isle Cotton. The owner of the plantation, Mr. Kingsley, owned over 3000 acres of land in North Florida, including Orange Park, and parts of Jacksonville.
Three Sisters Spring in Crystal River || Full Time RV Family
We took advantage of the warmer weather to go to Three Sisters Springs, then checked out some of the shops in the historic downtown area of Crystal River. We finished up by letting the kids blow off some steam at a playground!

Olustee Battlefield Historic State Park
Olustee was the site of the largest Civil War Battle in Florida. It was a Confederate victory that safeguarded Tallahassee from capture. The park is relatively small and includes a small museum and 1 mile walking trail. It's a reasonable place to visit if you are into military history.
