Florida Woman Keeps Bengal Tigers In Her Garden

While most people spend their golden years relaxing in their garden Janice Haley chooses to hand feed the two man-eating tigers she keeps in hers. Saber -- a 600 pound white Bengal male and Janda -- a 400 pound orange Bengal female live in a cage at the back of Janice's unassuming suburban home. Each day Janice, 57 hand feeds the gentle giants and Saber -- the baby of the pair - can't get off to sleep without suckling on her finger. She happened upon her extraordinary life around 20 years ago when she quit her job as an admin assistant to spend more time working outdoors. After spotting an ad for a tiger training course in her local paper she applied and two years later arrived home with Chuffer the tiger cub. She was immediately BITTEN by the tiger bug and in 2002 bought Janda -- who is now 12 -- to live with Chuffer. After Chuffer's death in 2007 little Saber -- who was only two weeks old at the time -- was introduced to the enclosure -- much to the annoyance of Janda.

Domestic Workers Bill of Rights
According to the ILO, many countries still don't recognize domestic work as work, denying millions of people labour and social protection under the law. But that's changing in the United States, thanks to a dedicated group of women.

► INTRODUCTION
The United States Constitution is the supreme law of the United States of America. The Constitution, originally comprising seven articles, delineates the national frame of government. Its first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it.
Since the Constitution came into force in 1789, it has been amended twenty-seven times. In general, the first ten amendments, known collectively as the Bill of Rights, offer specific protections of individual liberty and justice and place restrictions on the powers of government. The majority of the seventeen later amendments expand individual civil rights protections. Others address issues related to federal authority or modify government processes and procedures. Amendments to the United States Constitution, unlike ones made to many constitutions world-wide, are appended to the end of the document. At seven articles and twenty-seven amendments, it is the shortest written constitution in force. All five pages of the original U.S. Constitution are written on parchment.
The Constitution is interpreted, supplemented, and implemented by a large body of constitutional law. The Constitution of the United States is the first constitution of its kind, adopted by the people's representatives for an expansive nation; and it has influenced the constitutions of other nations.

Watch President Obama Deliver the 2013 State of the Union Address
President Barack Obama delivered the 2013 State of the Union address, his first since being elected to a second term, where he focused on 'smarter government' over larger government, education reform, immigration reform, equal pay and equality for women, gun control and other goals for the country.
???????? US gun control: Campaign to block law change | Al Jazeera
A loophole in US laws allows people convicted of domestic and sexual abuse to own guns and the US’s biggest gun lobby - the National Rifle Association - wants politicians to keep it that way.
But ahead of a vote in Congress, survivors of attacks are calling for that loophole to be closed.
Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher reports from Virginia.
A warning that the report contains images which some viewers may find distressing.

Max Canada Lynx - I'm a Big Baby
Max Canada Lynx, the educational animal ambassador takes a moment to get some good scratchin' before he sits down for his meal. He was born at a zoo in May 2011. Max is not domesticated but has been humanized. He still has wild tendencies. He educates the public locally on the endangered/threatened (in lower 48 states) Canada Lynx in hopes that people will be driven to conserve our environment and protect our wildlife. Technically, they are listed as threatened but in my state of NY they are considered extirpated. However, it's legal to trap these beautiful animals in Canada and Alaska.
He is NOT declawed. During the winter he weighs 40 pounds and summer about 34. He has about 4 inches of fur in this video which makes him look fat....I mean fluffy!
This video is NOT taken in my home but where he has an indoor enclosure. This is Max's rug with his fur, straw and other scents that he loves. He doesn't like the vacuum. Max also has outdoor housing where he spends most of his time.

Polly, Put The Kettle On - Short Drama
Drama is the specific mode of fiction represented in performance.[1] The term comes from a Greek word meaning action (Classical Greek: δρᾶμα, drama), which is derived from I do (Classical Greek: δράω, drao). The two masks associated with drama represent the traditional generic division between comedy and tragedy. They are symbols of the ancient Greek Muses, Thalia, and Melpomene. Thalia was the Muse of comedy (the laughing face), while Melpomene was the Muse of tragedy (the weeping face). Considered as a genre of poetry in general, the dramatic mode has been contrasted with the epic and the lyrical modes ever since Aristotle's Poetics (c. 335 BCE)—the earliest work of dramatic theory.[2]
In English (as was the analogous case in many other European languages), the word play or game (translating the Anglo-Saxon plèga or Latin ludus) was the standard term used to describe drama until William Shakespeare's time—just as its creator was a play-maker rather than a dramatist and the building was a play-house rather than a theatre.[3] The use of drama in a more narrow sense to designate a specific type of play dates from the modern era. Drama in this sense refers to a play that is neither a comedy nor a tragedy—for example, Zola's Thérèse Raquin (1873) or Chekhov's Ivanov (1887). It is this narrower sense that the film and television industries, along with film studies, adopted to describe drama as a genre within their respective media. Radio drama has been used in both senses—originally transmitted in a live performance, it has also been used to describe the more high-brow and serious end of the dramatic output of radio.[4]
The enactment of drama in theatre, performed by actors on a stage before an audience, presupposes collaborative modes of production and a collective form of reception. The structure of dramatic texts, unlike other forms of literature, is directly influenced by this collaborative production and collective reception.[5] The early modern tragedy Hamlet (1601) by Shakespeare and the classical Athenian tragedy Oedipus Rex (c. 429 BCE) by Sophocles are among the masterpieces of the art of drama.[6] A modern example is Long Day's Journey into Night by Eugene O’Neill (1956).[7
]
A film, also called a movie, motion picture, theatrical film or photoplay, is a series of still images which, when shown on a screen, creates the illusion of moving images due to the phi phenomenon. This optical illusion causes the audience to perceive continuous motion between separate objects viewed rapidly in succession. The process of filmmaking is both an art and an industry. A film is created by photographing actual scenes with a motion picture camera; by photographing drawings or miniature models using traditional animation techniques; by means of CGI and computer animation; or by a combination of some or all of these techniques and other visual effects.
The word cinema, short for cinematography, is often used to refer to the industry of films and filmmaking or to the art of filmmaking itself. The contemporary definition of cinema is the art of simulating experiences to communicate ideas, stories, perceptions, feelings, beauty or atmosphere by the means of recorded or programmed moving images along with other sensory stimulations.[1]
United States:
The United States of America (USA), commonly known as the United States (U.S.) or America (/əˈmɛrɪkə/), is a federal republic[16][17] composed of 50 states, a federal district, five major self-governing territories, and various possessions.[fn 6] Forty-eight states and the federal district are contiguous and located in North America between Canada and Mexico. The state of Alaska is in the northwest corner of North America, bordered by Canada to the east and across the Bering Strait from Russia to the west. The state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific Ocean. The U.S. territories are scattered about the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, stretching across nine official time zones. The extremely diverse geography, climate and wildlife of the United States make it one of the world's 17 megadiverse countries.[19]
At 3.8 million square miles (9.8 million km2)[20] and with over 324 million people, the United States is the world's third- or fourth-largest country by total area,[fn 7] and the third-most populous. The capital is Washington, D.C., and the largest city is New York City; twelve other major metropolitan areas—each with at least 4.5 million inhabitants—are Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Riverside.

Bloomberg: Where Will NRA Draw the Line?
By now, if you have been paying attention to the pronouncements of Hizzoner, you know that New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg really dislikes, among many other things, guns. He also appears to have engaged in a one-man crusade to convince politicians that, if the President of the United States can be reelected without the support of the National Rifle Association, so too can the most rural Congressman or Southern Senator. The logic of that belief is debatable, but what is not debatable is the logic that the NRA would go out of their way to defend the indefensible -- even the personal ownership of a small cannon designed to fire nuclear-tipped artillery shells. Or, at least, so sayeth the mayor.
The U.S. Army has a rifle — they call it a rifle, I would call it a cannon; it's attached to the front of a tank or a moving vehicle, Bloomberg said on Tuesday's Morning Joe on MSNBC. It shoots a nuclear warhead. The NRA would say, 'Oh, that's a gun. And people have a right to have that.'*
New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg went on Morning Joe to make a fair point about the NRA and the kinds of very dangerous guns they would protect. So clearly, he was blasted for his views. Jimmy Dore (The Jimmy Dore Show) and Ben Mankiewicz (Host, Turner Classic Movies) break it down.

Monkey Meat and the Ebola Outbreak in Liberia
VICE News Exclusive: Part 1 of The Fight Against Ebola -
West Africa is being plagued by a new outbreak of Ebola — a terrifying disease that causes its victims to bleed to death from the inside out. Ebola has no cure, and the latest epidemic is spreading fast.
VICE News visited Liberia, where many feel the new outbreak began, borne from the bushmeat markets of Lofa. Western scientists feel that the consumption and preparation of meat from monkeys, fruit bats, and other forest animals is behind the transmission of Ebola, and possibly a new supervirus, which if left uncontrolled could kill a third of the world's population.

So You Want To Own A Fennec Fox?
For months people have been asking me to do a video about fennec foxes. Since they were still considered an Exotic pet at the time of this video, I have always been hesitant to make this because not everyone should own one. I am in no way advocating that you go out and get one if you have no experience with these animals, however, if you're going to ignore me and do it anyway, at least take my words into consideration and do as much research as you can before bringing one into your house.
This is NOT a dog or a cat so you cannot treat it like one. If you expect a pet that will cuddle with you all day and one that you can bring out for walks or out in public, this is not that kind of pet. Owning a fennec fox is best for someone who has the money to properly give them what they need, and prior experience so that you understand their mannerisms. Fennec Foxes can scream VERY loud, so do not get one if you live in an apartment or you will get complaints.
I will make a second part to this video soon, please forgive me for any mistakes or how I may look in this video, It was VERY early in the morning when I shot this. lol.
I may not know EVERYTHING about exotic pets and foxes in general, but I do have about 20 years hands-on experience working with these types of pets so please at least take my words into consideration before doing something stupid that can put you or a fox in harms way.
If you've never worked with foxes before, do that first to see if you really want one in your home. Join some of the fox groups on Facebook, Find Sanctuaries in your area or in driving distance, meet people on there who may live near you and see if you're able to go meet the fox in person. Ask them about the downsides, and their daily routines. Ask them how much money they spend yearly or monthly on the fox, find out if there are exotic pet vets in your area... all of this will help you decide. Remember too, when you travel, you'll need someone who is capable of caring for this pet.... the list goes on of things people normally don't think of before getting a pet like this...
