Take Me To New York City
New York city City (NYC) is the densest city in the United States with regards of its population. In 2018, its population was estimated to be around 8,398,748 over an area of 302.6 square miles, this is equivalent to 27,718 people in just one square mile. Its skyline continues to grow with many new buildings currently under construction. There is a ton of things to do here. We bought the city pass which gave us access to 6 attractions including observatories such as the empire state building and top of the rock which has a great view of the city and central park, the pass also includes great museums in which you will spend countless hours with many interesting things to see. I recommend visiting the observatories as early as possible in the morning to prevent those humongous lines. The subway system is awesome and very cheap, we got the unlimited ride for one week for around $34, this includes the subway and the buses. I do not recommend you visit the city in a car since parking are extremely expensive and you won't really get a chance to really see the city. Instead, walking and taking the transportation system such as the subway and buses is the most affordable option in which you will get the best experience. We used google maps all the time, it even tells which subway train to take and at what time they arrive, we never got lost when using this. While on this, make sure to take comfortable shoes since you will be walking a lot, there were days we walked 13 miles, but we did get to see a lot. Central park is a must, we went on spring where trees and flowers were blooming with many gorgeous colors. Here, you can rent bikes, take horse carriage rides, do pedicab tours or just walk and explore. If taking the pedicab tours, make sure not to go for their first offer, instead whatever they are asking, ask for half their price and go up from there. City pass also includes a ferry to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Make sure to take the ferry as early as possible, these two places get packed with people making it very hard to take pictures. From my experience, Ellis Island had the best view of Manhattan so don't forget your camera. Flying a drone is not permitted in most of NYC, however there are some specific parks where you can fly them from, but the view of the city is not great. Food is amazing if you know how to look for it, make sure to use yelp or a platform that offers reviews and price, so you know what you are getting yourself into, there are also many food carts around the city which provide a fast and delicious service for you to continue your journey so make sure to check those out too. You will not run out attractions in this city, so plan the ones you want to visit the most so that you do those first. Overall, our experience was great and would most likely come back in the future for more.

NYC Traffic & Pedestrians pt2 - New York City - Best Shot Footage - HD Stock Footage
Various HD Footage of New York City Traffic & Pedestrians. New York is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York metropolitan area, which is one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world. New York City has a significant impact on global commerce, finance, media, culture, art, fashion, research, education, and entertainment. As host of the United Nations Headquarters, it is also an important center for international affairs. The city is often referred to as New York City or the City of New York, to distinguish it from the state of New York, of which it is a part. Located on a large natural harbor on the Atlantic coast of the Northeastern United States, New York City consists of five boroughs: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. With a population of 8.4 million[3] distributed over a land area of just 305 square miles (790 km2),[4][5][6] New York is the most densely populated major city in the United States.[7] As many as 800 languages are spoken in New York, making it the most linguistically diverse city in the world.[8] The New York metropolitan area's population is the United States' largest, estimated at 19.1 million people distributed over 6,720 square miles (17,400 km2). The New York metropolitan area is also part of the most populous combined statistical area in the United States, containing 22.2 million people as of 2009 Census estimates. New York traces its roots to the 1624 founding of New Amsterdam as a trading post by Dutch colonists. The city and its surrounds came under English control in 1664, and was renamed New York after King Charles II of England granted the lands to his brother, the Duke of York. New York served as the capital of the United States from 1785 until 1790.[10] It has been the country's largest city since 1790. Many districts and landmarks in New York City have become well known to outsiders. The Statue of Liberty greeted millions of immigrants as they came to America by ship in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Times Square, iconified as The Crossroads of the World, is the brightly illuminated hub of the Broadway theater district, one of the world's busiest pedestrian intersections, and a major center of the world's entertainment industry. New York City's financial district, anchored by Wall Street in Lower Manhattan, vies with London as the financial capital of the world[12][13][14][15][16][17] and is home to the New York Stock Exchange, the world's largest stock exchange by total market capitalization of its listed companies. Manhattan's real estate market has become well known to the world as one of the most prized and expensive in the world.[18] Manhattan's Chinatown incorporates one of the highest concentrations of Chinese people in the Western Hemisphere. Numerous colleges and universities are located in New York, including Columbia University, New York University and Rockefeller University, which are ranked among the top 100 in the world.
How New York Got Its Skyline
Why do so many of New York's older skyscrapers have a similar design?
The answer can be traced back to a monumental 1916 zoning law, which established “setback” requirements for buildings above a certain height. In the heart of the Financial District, the Equitable Building, a historic skyscraper that predates the law, remains a symbol of the excesses of the pre-zoning era.

Los Angeles, USA ???????? - by drone [4K]
Los Angeles (/lɔːs ˈændʒələs/ (About this soundlisten);[a] Spanish: Los Ángeles; Spanish for The Angels),[16] officially the City of Los Angeles and often known by its initials L.A., is the most populous city in California; the second most populous city in the United States, after New York City; and the third-most populous city in North America, after Mexico City and New York City. With an estimated population of nearly four million people,[11] Los Angeles is the cultural, financial, and commercial center of Southern California. The city is known for its Mediterranean climate, ethnic diversity, Hollywood, the entertainment industry, and its sprawling metropolis.
Los Angeles lies in a basin, adjacent to the Pacific Ocean, with mountains as high as 10,000 feet (3,000 m), and deserts. The city, which covers about 469 square miles (1,210 km2),[17] is the seat of Los Angeles County, the most populous county in the United States. The Los Angeles metropolitan area (MSA) is the second-largest metropolitan area in the nation with a population of 13.1 million people.[18] The Greater Los Angeles metropolitan area (CSA) is the second-most populous CSA metropolitan area with a 2015 estimate of 18.7 million people.[19]
Los Angeles has a diverse economy and hosts businesses in a broad range of professional and cultural fields. It is also famous for its movie, television, and recording industry. A global city, it has been ranked 6th in the Global Cities Index and 9th in the Global Economic Power Index. The Los Angeles metropolitan area also has a gross metropolitan product of $1.0 trillion[20] (as of 2017), making it the third-largest city by GDP in the world, after the Tokyo and New York City metropolitan areas. Los Angeles hosted the 1932 and 1984 Summer Olympics and will host the 2028 Summer Olympics.
Historically home to the Chumash and Tongva, Los Angeles was claimed by Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo for Spain in 1542, along with the rest of what would become Alta California. The city was officially founded on September 4, 1781, by Spanish governor Felipe de Neve. It became a part of Mexico in 1821 following the Mexican War of Independence. In 1848, at the end of the Mexican–American War, Los Angeles and the rest of California were purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and thus became part of the United States. Los Angeles was incorporated as a municipality on April 4, 1850, five months before California achieved statehood. The discovery of oil in the 1890s brought rapid growth to the city.[21] The completion of the Los Angeles Aqueduct in 1913, which delivers water from Eastern California, later assured the city's continued rapid growth.
Previous to the 1950s, Los Angeles' name had multiple pronunciations, but the soft G pronunciation is universal today. Some early movies or video shows it pronounced with a hard G (/lɔːs ˈænɡələs/).[22] Sam Yorty was one of the last public figures who still used the hard G pronunciation.[23]

Amsterdam is the Netherlands’ capital, known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the city’s 17th-century Golden Age. Its Museum District houses the Van Gogh Museum, works by Rembrandt and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum, and modern art at the Stedelijk. Cycling is key to the city’s character, and there are numerous bike paths.
Amsterdam-Rhine Canal:
Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, Dutch Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal, Dutch waterway connecting the port of Amsterdam with the Rhine River. From Amsterdam the canal passes to the southeast through Utrecht on its way to the Waal River near Tiel. Inaugurated in 1952, the canal has a total length of 72 km (45 miles) and contains four locks. It was enlarged in the 1970s and reopened in 1981. It is the most heavily used canal in western Europe and can handle up to four 3,000-ton lighters (unpowered barges) tied together and push-towed by a tug. The canal’s minimum depth is 5.5 metres (18 feet).
United States:
The United States of America (USA), commonly known as the United States (U.S.) or America (/əˈmɛrɪkə/), is a federal republic[16][17] composed of 50 states, a federal district, five major self-governing territories, and various possessions.[fn 6] Forty-eight states and the federal district are contiguous and located in North America between Canada and Mexico. The state of Alaska is in the northwest corner of North America, bordered by Canada to the east and across the Bering Strait from Russia to the west. The state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-Pacific Ocean. The U.S. territories are scattered about the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, stretching across nine official time zones. The extremely diverse geography, climate and wildlife of the United States make it one of the world's 17 megadiverse countries.[19]
At 3.8 million square miles (9.8 million km2)[20] and with over 324 million people, the United States is the world's third- or fourth-largest country by total area,[fn 7] and the third-most populous. The capital is Washington, D.C., and the largest city is New York City; twelve other major metropolitan areas—each with at least 4.5 million inhabitants—are Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Miami, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Riverside.

Most journeys begin at Penn Station or Grand Central, and if you arrive at the later you'll be wowed by the building. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town.
You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface.
And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. Have you been to New York? What are your favorite things about this city? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Summary of Amsterdam:

I Was the Fastest Girl in America, Until I Joined Nike | NYT Opinion
Mary Cain’s male coaches were convinced she had to get “thinner, and thinner, and thinner.” Then her body started breaking down.
At 17, Mary Cain was already a record-breaking phenom: the fastest girl in a generation, and the youngest American runner to turn professional. In 2013, she was signed by the best track team in the world, Nike’s Oregon Project, run by its star coach Alberto Salazar.
Then everything collapsed. Her fall was just as spectacular as her rise, and she shares that story for the first time in the Video Op-Ed above.
Instead of becoming a symbol of girls’ unlimited potential in sports, Cain became yet another standout young athlete who got beaten down by a win-at-all-costs culture. Girls like Cain become damaged goods and fade away. We rarely hear what happened to them. We move on.
The problem is so widespread it affected the only other female athlete featured in the last Nike video ad Cain appeared in, the figure skater Gracie Gold. When the ad came out in 2014, like Cain, Gold was a prodigy considered talented enough to win a gold medal at the next Olympics. And, like Cain, Gold got caught in a system where she was compelled to become thinner and thinner. She developed disordered eating to the point of imagining her own death.
“America loves a good child prodigy story, and business is ready and waiting to exploit that story, especially when it comes to girls,” said Lauren Fleshman, who ran for Nike until 2012. “When you have these kinds of good girls, girls who are good at following directions to the point of excelling, you’ll find a system that’s happy to take them. And it’s rife with abuse.”
We don’t typically hear from the casualties of these systems — the girls who tried to make their way in this system until their bodies broke down and they left the sport. It’s easy to focus on bright new stars, while forgetting about those who disappeared. We fetishize these athletes, but we don’t protect them. If they fail to pull off what we expect them to, we abandon them.
But Mary Cain’s story isn’t over. By speaking out, she’s making sure of that.

Richmond Tour | Basics of American History, Culture & Consumerism
This video talks about the culture & lifestyle styles of Americans. While doing a Richmond tour, my host also helped me to peep into the history of the USA. During this day trip to Richmond, I saw the Capitol building and the house of the Governor of the Virginia state, whose official name is Commonwealth of Virginia. We discussed the American Independence, American Civil War, Slavery in America, basics of federalists vs Confederates and General Lee. Besides this, I saw how is the public transportation system in Richmond. A short visit to the riverside of River James gave me an idea of how do Americans spend their weekends! Also, I and my host discussed the economy of USA. This led us to a very important topic of Consumerism in modern America. I felt the tendency of over consuming has penetrated deep in the roots of Indian culture also.
