Båstad is a locality and the seat of Båstad Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden, with approximately 5,000 permanent residents. It is however one of Sweden's most typical summer resorts. The population is presumably more than twice as large between April and September, and even larger during July. It's municipality follows a similar pattern.   • 1. Norrviken Bastad Bastad
    Norrviken Gardens is a garden, located about 3 kilometers northwest of Båstad, Skåne County, Sweden. It was founded by Rudolf Abelin in the early 1900s. The garden was chosen as the most beautiful park in Sweden and the second most beautiful in Europe in 2006. Due to financial issues the park has begun to fall into decline. Different interest groups are doing efforts to come up with new ways to fund the park, but disagreements between the groups have hampered the development of the park. One major problem is the location which decreases the use of the park as a venue for commercial interests.

  • 2. Hovs Hallar Bastad
    Hov Church is located in the village Hov, Båstad, Scania, Sweden and is one church out of three used by the parish of Västra Karup. The current church was built in 1837–1839 after drawings by architect Samuel Enander. It's the third church at the same location. The first church was built during the 11th or 12th century. This was enlarged or rebuilt during the 16th century. Its font is carved in stone and is an artifact from the first church. It's dated to the 13th century. A plate of hamrade brass, was made for the font in Nuremberg, Germany in the 16th century. In the church does also Triumph-Crucifix from the 12th century hang, while the current altarpiece, painted by Fritiof Swensson from Gothenburg, was put up in 1922.     Sofiero Palace or just Sofiero in Helsingborg Municipality, Scania was one of the Swedish royal family's country mansions, located 5 kilometres north of Helsingborg. It was originally a Scanian farm called Skabelycke, bought in 1864 by Crown Prince Oscar of Sweden and his wife Sophia of Nassau. The first one-story palace was completed in 1865. It was expanded to its current size between 1874 and 1876, after crown prince Oscar had been crowned king Oscar II of Sweden and Norway.

    Ven is a small Swedish island in the Øresund strait, between Scania and Zealand . It is part of Landskrona Municipality, Skåne County. The island has 371 inhabitants and an area of 7.5 km2 . During the 1930s, the population was at its peak, with approximately 1,300 inhabitants. There are four villages on the island: Bäckviken, Tuna By, Norreborg and Kyrkbacken.
