Kiev city is a destination we didn't know much about prior to traveling to Ukraine. Arriving with fresh eyes it didn't take us long to fall in love with Kyiv. This week we’re showing you around Kiev, Ukraine. This was our first time travelling to the country, so we hardly knew what to expect, though we did have an inkling we’d find churches with onion domes, borsht on every menu, and very cheap prices, but that was it!
Well, we found some of that, but we also discovered a fascinating city with ornate architecture, massive Soviet monuments, a completely new cuisine, more churches and monasteries than we ever thought possible, and friendly people despite the language barrier.
The following is our travel guide to the city. Now let us share with you 20 things to do in Kiev on your next visit!
And that’s a wrap for our visit to Kiev! This was our first time travelling in Ukraine, but we were hooked right from the start.
This destination felt very underrated with few tourists around, yet we were surrounded by beautiful architecture, there were churches galore to visit, the cuisine was hearty and filling, and everything was super affordable.

We start our trip with a quick coffee break at Mozart Cafe, where we have the traditional Sachertorte, an apple strudel and a Melange coffee.
Then we head of to St. Stephan Cathedral in the city center where we give you guys a bit of history on the building and a look inside and on top of the place.
You can't travel to Vienna and not visit the palaces. We pick up the action at Schönbrunn Palace and then follow it up with Hofburg Palace, two of the most important landmarks in Austria.
If you're interested in Vienna's street food, we go and experience first hand the open sandwiches at Trześniewski joined by the tiny beer called a Pfiff.
Afterwards to take you on a quick tour of the Vienna State Opera, one of the most iconic buildings in the world with a luxuriant interior.
It's time to eat and if you're wondering where to eat the best traditional Viennese food, we know just the right place: Plachutta.
Here they serve the Tafelspitz, the Viennese Schnitzel and we also include a tutorial on what is the correct way to eat the Tafelspitz.

De ce este Napoli experienta suprema, ultima? Asta este curiozitatea care i-a impins pe multi sa vina aici macar o data in viata. Poate ca este aerul acela boem care a inspirat artisti din toata lumea sau istoria indelungata care ii apasa pe umeri, poate sunt sutele de biserici care sa il apropie mai mult de cer, poate castelele si monumentele il fac special. Sau poate este vorba pur si simplu de cea mai buna pizza din lume. Poate sunt toate la un loc. In orice caz, in Napoli, fiecare gaseste ceva dupa care sa moara de drag.
Napoli, cel mai mare oras din Italia de sud, este situat intr-o zona fierbinte, la mijlocul distantei dintre Vezuviu si zona vulcanica Campi Flegrei si la doar doua ore de capitala Roma. Orasul este o explozie de contradictii. Poti sa te plimbi pe bulevarde stralucitoare cu buticuri de lux pentru ca in clipa urmatoare sa faci cunostinta cu cea mai neagra mizerie. Intre bunastare si saracie, intre arta si mediocritate, Napoli isi face timid loc in lista destinatiilor de top din Europa. Napoli este o altfel de experienta italiana plina de istorie vie, cultura, spiritualitate si arta, dar si de cartiere obscure cu stradute stramte si magazine de chilipiruri.
Exista doua modalitati distincte de a cunoaste Napoli. Poti sa vizitezi numeroasele monumente, biserici frumoase, castele, expozitii de arta si alte manifestari culturale. Sau te poti aventura pe stradutele inguste si zgomotoase printre comercianti de lucruri ieftine, artisti de strada si spectacole de marionete. Poti bea o cafea preparata asa cum numai localnicii stiu sa o faca, in picioare, ca un shot, in fata tejghelei si poti simti spiritul napoletan in forma sa inflacarata la meciurile de fotbal.
In Napoli poti face cunostinta cu doua lumi, doua extreme care nicaieri in lume nu convietuiesc mai firesc ca aici. Si cireasa de pe tort in orice vacanta in Napoli sunt croazierele de vis organizate catre celebrele insule Capri, Ischia si Procida.
La sfarsitul vacantei in Napoli vei intelege cuvintele lui Stendhal despre acest oras italian: -Plec. Nu voi uita niciodata Via Toledo si nici toate celelalte cartiere din Napoli. Pentru ochii mei este, fara a exista loc de comparatie, orasul cel mai frumos din univers!.
