Sandy Point State Park Beach Maryland, USA
At the foot of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge is Sandy Point State Park, a stretch of beach bordering the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. For those who don't want to traverse the more than 60-mile drive to Ocean City or Assateague Island, this is an option for sunbathing or fishing. During the summer season, part of the beach is watched by lifeguards. Fishing is allowed in particular areas, such as rock jetties and a fishing pier.
