Dischingen is a municipality in the district of Heidenheim in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. The municipality consists of several smaller villages that have been absorbed into Dischingen including; Dischingen, Ballmertshofen, Demmingen, Dunstelkingen, Eglingen, Frickingen, Trugenhofen and includes Castle Katzenstein.

1. Burg Katzenstein Dischingen
Katzenstein Castle is one of the oldest remaining Hohenstaufen castles in Germany. It is located in a borough that shares its name with the castle in the Dischingen municipality of the Heidenheim district of Baden-Württemberg. The castle is open to visitors and contains several dining rooms as well as hotel rooms.

Wir starten unseren Rundgang durch Frickingen in der Kirchstraße und gehen hinunter bis zur Graf Burchard Halle. Anschließend gehen wir wieder alles zurück bis zur Altheimer Straße. Danach gehen wir bis zur Quelle des Dorfbaches in der Kirchstraße zurück.
