Germany: Eltville am Rhein and its surroundings
Eltville am Rhein is an attractive town in the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis in the Regierungsbezirk of Darmstadt in Hesse, Germany. It lies on the German Timber-Frame Road (Fachwerkstraße).
The town bears the nicknames Weinstadt, Sektstadt, Rosenstadt and since 2006 also Gutenbergstadt.
Eltville is developed for tourists, and well known for its wine and sekt production, which can be sampled at many wineries and Straußwirtschaften (seasonal wine shops).
Eltville is one of Germany's ten Rosenstädte (rose towns).

Rüdesheim am Rhein, Germany - Cable Car Ride to Niederwald Monument
Located on the Rhine River, Rüdesheim am Rhein, Germany is one of those charming towns you see on postcards. The Niederwald Monument (Niederwalddenkmal) is located high up on a hill overlooking the town and the best way to get to it is to take a Gondola Cable Car ride up. The monument also goes by the name of Germania Statue.
As is usual with my video uploads, Ed does pretty much all of the video filming and narration, while I do the majority of the still photos, edit everything, add music, etc. and upload it.

Nierstein, die RieslingCity - Sehenswertes
Unser Rundgang durch Nierstein, einer Stadt am Rhein im Landkreis Mainz-Bingen (Rheinland-Pfalz), führt uns durch enge Gassen mit vielen Fachwerkhäusern zum Marktplatz.
Danach schauen wir uns drei Kirchen und einige Weingüter an. Einzelheiten siehe Untertitel.
Our tour through Nierstein, a town at the Rhine in the district Mainz-Bingen (Rhineland-Palatinate) leads us through narrow lanes with many half-timbered houses to the market place. Afterwards we visit three churches and several wine-growing estates.

Monuments of History: The German Corner
The famous german corner in Koblenz is a spit of land at the junction of river mosel and main river rhine. There is a huge monument of the german emperor Wilhelm the First. He was the emperor of german union in 1871.

Owner, Marcus, is a professionally trained chef and Hotel Perle am Rhein is another very friendly, family run hotel. Rooms are compact and well situated for visiting nearby attractions by ferry, bus and train.
Given a choice of two rooms, I opted for the Rhine view with views of two castles known as the Hostile Brothers, ferries and barges of all shapes and sizes making their way along the river.Hotel Perle am Rhein is an excellent hotel with delicious food.
