A border is a line separating the country or region A of the country or region B. Here ends my country and here begins the neighbor. However, the geopolitical reality leaves us, worldwide, small pieces of a country within another, enclaves whose situation may cause no little discomfort and inconvenience to the inhabitants. We will see some of the world.
Llivia. Spain into France. Located north of the province of Gerona, Llivia is a small town of just over 1,500 inhabitants whose eight miles square are completely surrounded by French territory.
Büsingen am Hochrein, Germany within Suiza. Büsingen German is the only municipality that has own tuition, and also the only one where the Swiss franc is legal tender, or where residents have the right to Swiss citizenship.
The Train enclaves, Germany within Belgium. One of the rarest European borders. After I World War, the Treaty of Versailles granted Belgium sovereignty over a railway line that ran through German territory
Campione d'Italia, Italy within Suiza. Campione d'Italia, a town that owes its status of enclave to a VIII century heritage.
Jungholz, Austria within Germany. The summit more than 1,600 meters of altitude of a mountain marks one of the few places in the world where borders form a quadrifinuium, ie, a cross border, a place that can only be accessed from Austria.
Mahda and Nahwa, Oman within the UAE, and in turn within Nahwa Oman, is a small town surrounded by Mahda Oman, which belongs to the UAE. But turn, Mahda is completely surrounded by the territory of Oman.
Cooch Bihar, or recurring enclaves, India, Bangladesh and 92 enclaves in India (21 of them in other Indian enclaves in Bangladesh) and 102 Indian enclaves in Bangladeshi territory (three of them on other sites, and one of them within metaenclave)
Kowloon, Walled China in Hong Kong. The Kowloon Walled City was a Chinese enclave within the British colony of Hong Kong, emerged from treaty in late twentieth century by the British colonial, and dismantled in 1993 for reasons of insecurity.
