North Bend is a city in King County, Washington, United States on the outskirts of the Seattle, Washington metropolitan area. The population was 6,739 in a 2016 census estimate. Since the closure of Weyerhaeuser's Snoqualmie sawmill, North Bend has become a prosperous bedroom community for Seattle, located about 30 miles to the west. The town was made famous by David Lynch's television series Twin Peaks, which was set and partially filmed in North Bend. North Bend is also home to Nintendo North Bend, the main North American production facility and distribution center for the video game console manufacturer Nintendo.

    The Creation Museum, located in Petersburg, Kentucky, United States, is operated by the Christian creation apologetics organization Answers in Genesis . It promotes a pseudoscientific, young Earth creationist explanation of the origin of the universe based on a literal interpretation of the Genesis creation narrative in the Bible. The 75,000-square-foot museum cost US$27 million, raised through private donations, and opened on May 28, 2007. In addition to the main collection, the facility has a special effects theater, a planetarium, an Allosaurus skeleton, and an insect collection.
