The Regional Municipality of Waterloo is a regional municipality located in Southern Ontario, Canada. It consists of the cities of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, , and the townships of Wellesley, Woolwich, Wilmot, and North Dumfries. It is often referred to as the Region of Waterloo or Waterloo Region. The region is 1,369 square kilometres in size and its regional seat of government is in Kitchener. The region's population was 535,154 at the 2016 census.     Chicopee Ski & Summer Resort is a winter and summer recreation club in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, founded December 29, 1934 as a not-for-profit organisation on 165 acres . The Chicopee ski hill has a maximum vertical drop of 200 ft . There is an average annual snowfall of 133 centimetres . Winter sports include alpine skiing, snowboarding and a tubing park. Summer activities include tennis, volleyball, high and low ropes courses, a 30 feet rock-climbing wall, an 18-hole disc golf course , mountain bike trails and a BMX course / PINES Bridge Park. Chicopee also offers extensive summer and winter camp programs, as well as corporate retreats with teambuilding exercises.

It is situated on a section of the Niagara Escarpment about 1 km from Nottawasaga Bay, and is a major destination for skiers from southern Ontario.
