Algonquin Highlands is a township located in Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada. It has a population of 2,351. The northeastern section of the township is included in Algonquin Provincial Park. The township was formed through the amalgamation of Stanhope and Sherborne et al. townships, the latter of which included McClintock, Livingstone, Lawrence and Nightingale. It was thereafter briefly known as the Township of Sherborne, Stanhope, McClintock, Livingstone, Lawrence and Nightingale until it was renamed to its current name in March 2001. Sainte-Marie among the Hurons was a French Jesuit settlement in Wendake, the land of the Wendat, near modern Midland, Ontario, from 1639 to 1649. It was the first European settlement in what is now the province of Ontario. Eight missionaries from Sainte-Marie were martyred, and were canonized by the Catholic Church in 1930. Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1920. A reconstruction of the mission now operates as a living museum. A nearby historic site, Carhagouha, marks the spot where an earlier Récollet missionary to Wendake, Fr. Joseph Le Caron, presided in 1615 over the first Catholic mass conducted in present-day Ontario. Lake Muskoka is located between Port Carling and Gravenhurst, Ontario, Canada. The lake is surrounded by many cottages. The lake is primarily within the boundary of the Township of Muskoka Lakes, the southeast corner is within the boundary of the Town of Gravenhurst and another small portion around the mouth of the Muskoka River is within the boundary of the Town of Bracebridge. The town of Bala is located on the southwest shores of the lake, where the Moon River starts. Lake Muskoka is connected to Lake Rosseau through the Indian River and lock system at Port Carling. The lake is mainly fed by the Muskoka River, Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau.

The Haliburton Forest & Wild Life Reserve Ltd. is a privately owned forest, comprising 300 square kilometres in Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada. It is about 270 kilometres northeast of Toronto, and just south of and abutting Algonquin Provincial Park. Haliburton Forest is a multi-use forest, with attractions such as the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre, a canopy walk as well as the world's only freshwater tour submarine. Haliburton Forest operates recreation, tourism and education programs year-round. Its forestry operations were the first to be certified by the international Forest Stewardship Council in Canada. Haliburton Forest supports ecosystem based research projects, primarily conducted by the University of Toronto's Faculty of Forestry.

7. Dorset Scenic Lookout Tower Dorset
Dorset is a small community located on the boundary between the Lake of Bays Municipality in Muskoka District and the Algonquin Highlands Township in Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada. Dorset was originally called Cedar Narrows. In 1859 Francis Harvey became the first European settler here. Zachariah Cole mapped out the area for the government around 1860. The community name was chosen by some of the settlers that came from Dorset, England. As of 2009, Dorset has a local permanent population of approximately 400 although these numbers increase more than tenfold in the summer months due to cottagers and vacationers.

One of the best Camping site in Ontario is Algonquin National Park

We have experince 3 days and 2 nights in the site and it was so much fun.

Algonquin Provincial Park is one of the best camping site in Ontario
you will see in the video the different activities we did like

canoeing and Kayaking
smore and barbeque
beautiful and tall trees

We have a lot beautiful experience in this place , all the people in the are was so nice , there you can use a nice washroom an you can use shower too, there is electric plug in the place so you will not worry about your phone , camera get drain and other stuff. The place was so clean and peaceful but watch out for black bear ^^ but its ok they don't harm unless you harm them..

Exploring the backcountry of Northern British Columbia

I finished up my time at the horse ranch in Alberta and got referred to a hunting outfitter in Northern British Columbia. I drove up over a couple days and got the chance to explore some of the most beautiful parts of Canada by plane, horseback and inflatable raft. I learned a ton in my short amount of time there and the experience won't ever be forgotten.

Highland Backpacking Trail | Algonquin Park

Another year, another camping trip. This year, Mike and I take our friends Jen & Peter along with us to Highland Backpacking Trail located in Algonquin Park. It was one of the most difficult backpacking trips we've ever done. Enjoy! ☺

0:39 Day 1 ➫ Hiked towards Provoking Lake to set up camp
5:38 Day 2 ➫ Breakfast at our campsite, hiked passed Mosquito Fly and finally set up camp at Harness Lake
13:14 Day 3 ➫ We ended up setting up camp at Provoking West. It rained very hard on this day so we didn’t film much, watch up attempt to dry our wet clothes on site 
21:41 Day 4 ➫ It rained so hard on our last day so we couldn’t film our hike, we hiked back to the car and drove home
