Maitland is an English and Scottish surname. It arrived in Britain after the Norman conquest of 1066. There are two theories about its source. It is either a nickname reference to bad temper/disposition , or it may be a locational reference to Mautalant, a place in Pontorson, France. The Brittany connection is less likely than that with Les Moitiers d'Allonne, near Carteret in the Cotentin. Mautalents continue to live in and near Les Moitiers d'Allonne, and the early mediaeval charters link the Maltalents of England and Scotland with the Morville family – originating from Morville, nr. Brockville, formerly Elizabethtown, is a city in Eastern Ontario, Canada in the Thousand Islands region. Although it is the seat of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, it is politically independent of the county. It is included with Leeds and Grenville for census purposes only. Known as the City of the 1000 Islands, Brockville is on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River opposite Morristown, New York, about halfway between Ontario's Cornwall to the east and Kingston to the west. It is 115 kilometres south of the national capital of Ottawa. It is one of Ontario's oldest European-Canadian communities and is named after the British general Sir Isaac Brock.

Canada - Victoria, BC Bikes, Docks, & Seals Episode 1

Our first couple of days in Victoria BC, Canada. Victoria is an amazing place with so many things to do. So much so that we had to make more than one video.

In this episode we drive through the BC forest fires, feed wild seals in oak bay, cycle victoria, and spend some time at fisherman's wharf. I hope you enjoy episode one of the series.

48 Hours In Victoria, BC

Over the reading week, I decided to head to Victoria to visit my aunt and uncle. Had an amazing time exploring Victoria for the week. I was in Victoria for more than 48 hours but that's about the amount I shot.
