1. Old Idaho Penitentiary Boise
The Old Idaho Penitentiary State Historic Site was a functional prison from 1872 to 1973 in the western United States, east of Boise, Idaho. The first building, also known as the Territorial Prison, was constructed in the Territory of Idaho in 1870; the territory was seven years old when the prison was built, a full two decades before statehood. From its beginnings as a single cell house, the penitentiary grew to a complex of several distinctive buildings surrounded by a 17-foot-high sandstone wall. The stone was quarried from the nearby ridges by the resident convicts, who also assisted in later constructions.The Old Idaho Penitentiary is operated by the Idaho State Historical Society; the elevation of the site is approximately 2,770 feet above sea level.

The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, also known simply as St. John’s Cathedral, is a Catholic cathedral and parish church located in Boise, Idaho, United States. It is the seat of the Diocese of Boise. The church building was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It was included as a contributing property of the St. John's Cathedral Block when the rest of the parish buildings on Block 90 were added to the National Register in 1982.

Hyde Park, also called the Hyde Park Historic District, is a section of the North End neighborhood in Boise, Idaho known for its several popular eateries and locally owned specialty shops; including the Hyde Park Pub & Grill, Goody's. and G. Located on North 13th Street a few blocks north of Downtown Boise, the Hyde Park Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.During all months of the year, local merchants host neighborhood events and activities. The Boise River is a 102-mile-long tributary of the Snake River in the northwestern United States. Why Are Californians Moving to Idaho?

Many former Californians now call Idaho home and the numbers show. A recent U.S. Census report on state-to-state migration found that 1 out of every 4 people who moved to Idaho came from California.

The Boise Metropolitan Area has experienced a massive population boom in recent years. In 2018, the population of Meridian, Idaho surpassed 100,000 - a staggering 900% increase since 1990! In neighboring Eagle, Idaho, the population increased 233% from 1990 to 2000.
