Osby is a locality and the seat of Osby Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 7,157 inhabitants in 2010.Well known people born in Osby include Swedish ice hockey goaltender Magnus Åkerlund The toy manufacturer BRIO was based in Osby, but moved to Malmö in 2006. The company's toy museum, the BRIO Lekoseum, remains in Osby.

1. Ales Stenar Ystad
Ale's Stones is a megalithic monument in Scania in southern Sweden. It is a stone ship, oval in outline, with the stones at each end markedly larger than the rest. It is 67 m long formed by 59 large boulders, weighing up to 1.8 tonnes each. The carbon-14 dating system for organic remains has provided seven results at the site. One indicates that the material is around 5,500 years old whereas the remaining six indicate a date about 1,400 years ago. The latter is considered to be the most likely time for Ales Stenar to have been created. That would place its creation towards the end of the Nordic Iron Age.

Sweden Trip In Timelapse

I took some video shots with the new camera during my trip to Sweden.
Here is the video I composed from them. All footage is taken by a Nikon 1 J2 at different locations.
The car perspective was taken as video where the other parts are from interval timer mode.

All sequences from the car are sped up eight times faster than reality. The movement in the timelapse photography parts was realized by photograping in higher resolution than 1080p and then zooming for the video. The photo settings can be read in the following.

I moved to a new school!
Yes indeed, I moved and I've been longing for this moment for a long time...

This school is a bit special compared to many others. First of all i'ts a practical school with many study trips to a lot of different places but of course on the other hand we still have most of the basic school subjects, just as any other school!

But for you guys who still don't know... I'm studying or rather being trained as an ADVENTURE GUIDE

This is how our introduction week looked like and I assure you that we had a lot of fun.
We swam in the highest waterfall of Sweden, we climbed a peak called Städjan which looks like a volcano and much more...

From now on I will probably mostly be filming my school activities, and probably only be able to upload in the weekends...
But stay tuned on Saturday - Sunday cause there's a lot more to come!

Römerstrasse - The Roman Road (English subtitles)

In the summer of 2014, Peter Germundsson and Paul Molin went on a journey through Europe. Most of the journey went through the old Roman provinces of Gallia Belgica, Germania Inferior, Raetia and Noricum. Once the Roman Culture flourished here and the Roman heritage put its hallmark on the area for centuries after the fall of the Western Roman Empire. Many of the cities and camps founded by the Romans still exist, and bear modern names. The traces of Rome are still visible. Out of the ruins of the Roman Empire would eventually modern Germany emerge, a nation which throughout its comparatively short existence more than once has been torn apart by devastating wars. Carpet bombers have reduced centuries-old cities to rubble and millions of people have lost their lives at an early age. Now it's been a long time since any war devastated Europe but the tide of history can still be felt. About this and much else is the film you're about to see: Römerstrasse. A film about the history of Europe and the search for it in a highly altered world.

Our trip starts in Sweden and goes down to the European continent to the Hermannsdenkmal, a monument erected to commemorate the battle of the Teutoburg forest in the year 9 A.D. Then we travel along the river Rhine, which marked the border between the Roman Empire and the unconquered Germania. Via Alps, Weissbier and Leberknödel we finally end up in a victorious Berlin in the summer of 2014.

At the same time it is a trip through the modern German-speaking Europe with its people, culture, traffic and lack of parking lots.
