Stränder, gränder och närodlat
Sardinien är Italiens näst största ö och bjuder på mycket av just det som alla Italienfrälsta gillar mest. En omväxlande natur med vita sandstränder, lavendeldoftande vandringsleder och charmigt nötta småstäder. Och mat på närodlade råvaror som tillagats enligt sardisk tradition. Doftande skaldjurspasta, ostar, korvar och hembakat bröd hör till öns matkultur.
Att göra på Sardinien
Hyr en bil (eller en cykel!) och leta dig fram på slingrande småvägar runt ön eller häng med på någon av våra utflykter. Du kan vandra i Porto Contes naturpark, spela golf, göra en dagstur med båt till grannön Korsika eller segla katamaran. Till den fina sandstranden Stintino (La Pelosa) tar du dig enkelt med båt från Alghero.
En ny sida av Sardinien
I sommar kan du välja mellan ännu fler badorter och fina småstäder på Sardinien. Som tidigare år kan du bo i eller omkring Alghero på västkusten, men nu även på den nordöstra sidan dit vi börjar med direkt charterflyg som landar i Olbia intill den kända Smaragdkusten Costa Smeralda.

Budoni – trivsam badort söder om Costa Smeralda, med vykortsvackra stränder, grön natur och våra koncepthotell TUI Family Life och TUI Sensimar.
Costa Smeralda – kusten som blivit berömd för dussintals vackra vita stränder och för jet set-livet i Porto Cervos hamn.
Olbia – rätt val för dig som vill ha nära till Costa Smeraldas stränder men samtidigt uppleva småstadsliv och kulturhistoria.
Alghero-kusten
Alghero – mysig atmosfär bland krogar och glassbarer i gränderna, gångavstånd till fina Maria Pia-stranden.
Porto Conte – rofylld havsbukt med vårt eget TUI Family Life, fyllt av aktiviteter för alla åldrar.
Bosa – medeltidsstad på en kulle, här bor du på ett hotell med anor från 1700-talet.
Castelsardo – en av Italiens vackraste städer innanför medeltidsmurar.

Kamakhya is an important Tantric mother goddess closely identified with Kali and Maha Tripura Sundari, according to the Tantric texts (Kalikapurana Stotra, Yoginitantram) that are the basis for her worship at the Kamakhya temple, a 16th century temple in the Kamrup district of Assam. Her name means renowned goddess of desire, and she resides at the Kamakhya temple in the form of a stone yoni (female generative organ). The temple is primary amongst the 51 Shakti Peethas related to the myth of Sati, and remains one of the most important Shakta temples and Hindu pilgrimage sites in the world.

Nexus Sculpture in Calais, Maine
Calais, Maine places it's newest monument, Nexus a sculpture created by Mainer, Miles Chapin via the Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium. Video by Dan Daley of Calais, Maine.

The Sculpture Tour is a self guided driving tour of all sculpture sites (34 total) and is distributed through information centers throughout the state annually. Calais has a very friendly visitors center.
The Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium (SISS) is a biennial cultural event that brings together artists, visitors, and communities to create a public sculpture collection in eastern Maine.
Their Mission is to hold biennial, international stone sculpture symposiums in downeast Maine that will engage individuals and communities in public art and result in a large public art collection in Hancock, Penobscot and Washington counties.
The Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium (SISS) is a biennial cultural event that brings together artists, visitors, and communities to create a public sculpture collection in eastern Maine.
They're located in 2014 at the ball field next to U.S. Bells on Route 186. Make plans to visit our Welcome tent and observe the creative process from start to finish–the event is open and free to the public.
