TIPS FOR GERMAN TRAVEL:
wear comfortable shoes because you'll be walking SSSOO MUCH!
Water in restaurants is NOT free ($4-8 or 2-5 euros)...
Nor does the 1 glass bottle of water they give you fill may servings of water (5 glasses gets filled up once each)

If you buy water bottles at a grocery store and ask a German restaurant for empty cups for the water you didn't buy at the resturant, it is customary in Germany and in most other European resutrants to refuse. They will sometimes even take cups on the table away.
IT can go from hot (70-80 degrees F) to stormy or rainy in seconds. So bring an umbrella in your purse for protection against rain or the burning UV sun.
Know phrases in German (and any european country you go to) such as where is left right straight turn thank you thanks a lot Sorry excuse me (to get someone's attention) excuse me (to pass by), please no problem/don't worry about it i don't speak German. i speak English and bathroom. IF you learn nothing else Before you're trip learn these phrases and you can get by.
Most German's in big cities speak English but don't assume. Even if you do assume they will respect you more if you at least attempt some German words.
bring a SMALL suit case unless you plan on staying where you are for more than a week

St-Paul de Vence in the south of France
St-Paul de Vence in the South of France is one of the best preserved and prettiest medieval villages in all of Europe. We're going to take you on a walk straight through the middle of St-Paul on the main pedestrian lane from one end of town to the other and later working to show you all the little side streets. Located on the Cote d'Azur along the French Riviera in Provence, this village is one of the prettiest in Europe. The cobblestone lanes here are among the finest that you will ever see.
When you reach the far end of the main lane you exit through another gateway arch and then there's a staircase that leads your right up onto the wall with a lovely viewing platform where you can see across the distant landscape.
The walks round the walls are in part wider, and the small gardens of the houses sloping down to them, with the dark foliage and golden fruit of their orange groves, form a beautiful foreground to the lovely views that are visible off in the distance in every direction.
Saint-Paul de Vence's town wall dates from the 16th century as we see it today and it hugs the contours of the rocky spur on which the village stands, forming a 1 km perimeter that has undergone only slight modifications since the 16th century.

10. Roman Baths
The Roman Baths complex is a site of historical interest in the English city of Bath. The house is a well-preserved Roman site for public bathing.
There are four main features: the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and the museum, holding finds from Roman Bath. The buildings above street level date from the 19th century.
The Baths are a major tourist attraction and, together with the Grand Pump Room, receive more than one million visitors a year.
9. Leaning Tower of Pisa
The Leaning Tower of Pisa (Italian: Torre pendente di Pisa) or simply the Tower of Pisa is the campanile, or freestanding bell tower, of the cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa, known worldwide for its unintended tilt.
The tower's tilt began during construction in the 12th century, caused by an inadequate foundation on ground too soft on one side to properly support the structure's weight. The tilt increased in the decades before the structure was completed in the 14th century.

Christ the Redeemer is an Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by the Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with the French engineer Albert Caquot. Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida fashioned the face. Constructed between 1922 and 1931, the statue is 30 metres (98 ft) tall, excluding its 8-metre (26 ft) pedestal. The arms stretch 28 metres (92 ft) wide.
