Southern Norway is the geographical region along the Skagerrak coast of southern Norway. The region is an informal description since it does not have any governmental function. It roughly corresponds to the old petty kingdom of Agder as well as the two present-day counties of Vest-Agder and Aust-Agder.     Buen kulturhus is a cultural multi-purpose house located in the town of Mandal in Norway. The town is located in the municipality of Mandal in Vest-Agder county in the far southern part of Norway. The building opened in 2012 and includes a library, an art gallery, cinemas, halls adapted for theater, dance, concerts, and other events as well as a culture school. There is also a café and outdoor playground near the building. On the eastern side the roof is covered with turf. The total cost of building Buen kulturhus was 210 million Norwegian kroner and it was designed by the architecture firm Danish 3XN based in Copenhagen, Denmark.     Fiskebrygga is a former fish landing in the city of Kristiansand in Vest-Agder county, Norway. The buildings have been redeveloped as a restaurant, shopping area, and tourist destination. The former fish landing extends along both sides of Gravane Canal, the canal that separates the town centre, Kvadraturen, from the island of Odderøya. It was extensively reconstructed in the 1990s, with wood-fronted buildings in an old-fashioned style similar to the warehouses, painted yellow ochre and red, as well as housing, shops, and a number of restaurants. There are wooden piers on both sides of Gravane Canal, where there is a bustling boat traffic in summer, and bridges over the canal give the area an almost Venetian look.     Arendal Town hall is located in the middle of downtown Arendal, Norway. The building's two theater halls have been given names from the two lighthouses outside Arendal, Store Torungen Lighthouse and Lille Torungen Lighthouse. Central to the building is a large hall, and surrounding this hall are communal offices. In front of the Town hall lies Sam Eydes plass, and surrounding the block are bus and taxi stops. The building is designed by the architect company LPO Arkitektur & Design AS in Oslo. The building's largest theater and concert hall, Store Torungen, has 700 seats. The chairs can be pushed back into the rear wall, which gives place to 1300 standing people. A smaller hall, Lille Torungen, has 150 seats.
