Whether young or old, large or small, the aim was to encourage them to find and express positive feelings for Wesel, so that in the end we are able to say that Wesel is the kind of town which people find enjoyable and rewarding to live in, as well as being a worthwhile place to visit for visitors to the region.

The Villa Stuck, built in 1898 and established as a museum in 1992 and located in the Munich quarter of Bogenhausen, is a museum and historic house devoted to the life and work of the painter Franz Stuck. In contrast to the classical architecture of the exterior, Stuck decorated the interior in striking art nouveau/art deco style.
The neo-classical, palatial building on Prinzregentenstraße is the former residence of the Bavarian painter and sculptor Franz von Stuck. In 1897 and 1898, the artist designed the luxurious villa himself and had a studio building added in 1914 and 1915. Stuck was the founder of the Munich Succession and taught artists such as Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste (“Academy of Visual Arts”).
Today, both houses are used as city museums, which in addition to the historic living and studio spaces of Stucks also feature a collection of his paintings and sculptures. The furniture that the artist designed himself for the villa was honored at the World’s Fair in Paris in 1900 with a gold medal. The collection of artwork was expanded with works from the area of visual and applied arts from the turn of the century, as well as changing special exhibits with a focus on art of the 20th century and works from contemporary international artists.

33. Opernhaus Zürich
Das Opernhaus Zürich ist ein Zürcher Opernhaus in der Nähe des Bellevue und wurde 1891 eröffnet. Das Theater wurde als Ersatz für das Aktietheater Theater erbaut, das einem Brand zum Opfer fiel . Sein ursprünglicher Name war Stadttheater. Die Architekten waren die renommierte Wiener Anwaltskanzlei Fellner & Helmer. Ursprünglich für das gesprochene und gesungene Theater konzipiert, beschränkte es sich nach der Eröffnung des Zürcher Schauspielhauses auf die Darstellung von Oper, Operette und Ballett.
30. Kloster St. Johann (Müstair)
Das Kloster San Juan ist eine ehemalige Benediktinerabtei in Müstair in der Schweiz. Es ist Johannes dem Täufer gewidmet. Seit 1983 ist es aufgrund des außergewöhnlichen Freskenzyklus aus der karolingischen Zeit (9. Jahrhundert), der in der UNESCO-Liste der Weltkulturerbe-Stätten erhalten ist, in die UNESCO-Liste aufgenommen worden. Die Abtei wurde um 780 von Bischof Chur gegründet. Im Jahr 1167 wurde es in ein Frauenkloster umgewandelt. Bei den Restaurierungsarbeiten im 20. Jahrhundert wurden romanische Fresken aus dem Jahr 1160 gefunden.

27. Kirche St. Peter von Zürich
Die Peterskirche ist eine der vier Hauptkirchen des alten Zürichs. Die anderen drei sind das Grossmünster, das Fraumünster und die Predigerkirche. Es befindet sich neben dem Lindenhof, der alten römischen Festung im selben Raum, in dem einst ein Jupitertempel stand. Archäologen haben Überreste einer kleinen Kirche 10 x 7 Meter aus dem achten oder neunten Jahrhundert gefunden. Dieses erste Gebäude wurde um das Jahr 1000 durch eine früh romanische Kirche ersetzt. Im Jahr 1230 wurde diese Kirche durch eine andere im spätromanischen Stil ersetzt, obwohl Teile der ersten noch erhalten sind. Das Hauptschiff wurde 1460 im gotischen Stil umgebaut. Der erste Zürcher Oberbürgermeister, Rudolf Brunn, wurde hier im Jahr 1360 begraben. Bis 1911 wurde der Glockenturm, einer der höchsten in Zürich, zur Brandüberwachung genutzt.

The coking plant Hansa is an industrial monument in Dortmund - Huckarde . It was built in the years 1927 to 1928 as a large coking plant as a result of rationalization measures and replaced the run-down small coking plants of the mines Hansa , Westhausen and Germania .
The first two coke oven batteries , each with 65 ovens, were built between 1927 and 1928. Batteries III and IV, each with 80 ovens, were added between 1940 and 1941. Only now was this coking plant operated as a central coking plant by Dortmunder Bergbau AG. With the battery 0 (30 stoves) was built in 1968, the last expansion of the plant. At peak times, up to 1100 employees worked in the coking plant.
The coking plant Hansa moved until 1949 hard coal via large-capacity self-unloading wagons from the neighboring Hansa colliery , then on the newly built conveyor belt ( Hansaband ) and from the mines Westhausen and Adolf Hansemann first by cable car, then a coal mine from Bodelschwingh on Nette to Hansa. After the closure of Westhausen and Adolf Hansemann collieries and the Verbindungsbahn the required coking were from the mines Germania, Minister Stein , Gneisenau , Frederick the Great , Pluto and North Star , most recently from the coalmine Radbod , House Adenand Heinrich Robert delivered with large-capacity self-unloading vehicles. These reached the coking plant from the north via the Hardenberghafen and Ellinghausen / Landabsatz through a newly created track connection to the freight railway of the Hoesch-Stahl AG (track HHW 6141).
The entire facility can be visited in the course of guided tours by former employees and trained, expert guides. For individual tourists, large parts of the facility remain closed because of the risk of accidents. Here, the signposted little way is recommended along with an audio guide via headphones. Since 2001, on the grounds of the Lokwerkstatt the coking plant Hansa am Mooskamp the local transport museum Dortmund of the association Westphalian Almetalbahn e. V., which offers sightseeing and charter trips with historic Dortmund trams via the old coal mine tracks to the Hansa coking plant.
Since 2010, the former training workshop has been used as an exhibition space on the so-called white (clean) side of the coking plant. Hochhaus Hansa (high-rise building on the Hansa site) is a three-year art and exhibition project that has been arranged between the Foundation for Industrial Heritage Management and Historical Culture and artlab21, Institute for Art Development.
With the U47 you drive from Dortmund main station in the direction of Westerfilde to the stop Parsevalstraße and then moves next to the tracks in the direction of the street Mailoh, from which one already gets a first impression of the old cooling towers. *Σαφώς υπάρχουν και άλλα εξίσου σημαντικά αξιοθέατα της πόλης που μπορείτε να δείτε, αλλά εγώ δεν πρόλαβα να επισκεφτώ. Όταν επισκέπτεσαι ένα μέρος για κάποιες συγκεκριμένες μέρες είναι λογικό να μην προλάβεις να τα δεις όλα.
