'Cedar Echo Retreat' - Set on a well treed lot, this three bedroom plus Bunkie family in Eastern Ontario is a great four season family getaway. Best Local Seafood Caye Caulker Belize
Caye Caulker, Belize is home to some of the best local seafood in South America. One of the places you should visit during your stay is Godfrey's Seaside Grill. It's located on the water
about 3 minutes south, on the waterside path from the ferry dock.
If you're wanting superb local seafood like lobster, snapper or stone crab... look no further. Other top things to eat at Godfrey's is ceviche, which is filled with lobster, shrimp and fish.
My top three reasons for recommending Godfrey's are:
1) the chef is local and she has her own special spices that bring out the flavors in all the local seafood. Everything is excellent.
2) Godfrey's is budget friendly. There are a number of really good restaurants in Caye Caulker but, some can get pricey. Godfrey's local food is among the tops but, his prices are reasonable.
3) the service staff. Godfrey has trained his staff to be friendly and responsive, but you never get the feeling they are rushing you.
If I were to add number four, it would be due to the presence of Roxie... the owner's people friendly black lab. If you had to leave your canine family member at home are are feeling a little
sad about it, go to Godfrey's and give Roxie some attention... you'll feel better.

To sum this review up... Godfrey's is local, friendly, has superb food, reasonable prices, a relaxing waterfront setting, cheap beer and drinks... and if you're lucky, he might just give you an additional 15% discount off your check. Some days he does this, others... he doesn't. You just have to drop by and check it out for yourself.
