Aachen, Sehenswürdigkeiten der Krönungsstadt
Unser Rundgang durch Aachen (Nordrhein-Westfalen) beginnt am Hauptbahnhof. Von dort aus schauen wir uns u.a. das Marschiertor, das Theater, den Elisenbrunnen und vor allem den Aachener Dom (UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe) mit dem Domschatz an. Das Alte Rathaus und der Brunnen - mit einer Figur von Karl dem Grossen - sowie das Couvern-Museum und das Spielcasino stehen auch auf unserem Programm.

Wie die meisten Hafenstädt Provinzstädte zeigt sich auch Rostock im Sommer von ihrer schönsten Seite. Bei der alljährlichen großen feucht-fröhlichen Hanse Sail und läuft die Stadt zur Höchstform auf. Aber die Ostsee ist die Essenz, denn sie liegt direkt an der Südküste des Meeres.
Während der Sommerzeit haben eine Reihe von Restaurants Aussichtsterrassen am Hafen, von denen aus man die Schiffe auf dem Wasser beobachten kann. Eine abendliche Fahrt auf einem Fahrgastschiff auf der Warnow ist ein typisch mecklenburgisches Sommererlebnis, das man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte.

Niederwald Monument, Unesco World Heritage - Guard on the Rhine
The Niederwald monument at the rhine river belongs to the unesco world heritage sites and the monument has always been an attractive destination. From the Germania you have a wide view over the Rhine valley around Rüdesheim and Bingen.
The Germania monument is situated at the gateway to the Romantic Rhine, on the Unesco World Heritage of the Upper Middle-Rhine Valley. The Niederwald monument is a part of German history!
In the monument five verses of the song Die Wacht am Rhein by Karl Wilhelm are carved.
The original poem was written by Max Schneckenburger and the song composed by Karl Wilhelm in 1854.
