Northeastern Ontario is a secondary region of Northern Ontario which lies north of Lake Huron and east of Lake Superior.Northeastern Ontario consists of the districts of Algoma, Sudbury, Cochrane, Timiskaming, Nipissing and Manitoulin. For some purposes, Parry Sound District and Muskoka District Municipality are treated as part of Northeastern Ontario although they are geographically in Central Ontario.   • 1. Onaping Falls Onaping
    Onaping Falls was a town in the Canadian province of Ontario, which existed from 1973 to 2000. It was created as part of the Regional Municipality of Sudbury, and took its name from the waterfalls on the Onaping River. On January 1, 2001, the town and the Regional Municipality were dissolved and amalgamated into the city of Greater Sudbury. The town is now part of Ward 3 on Greater Sudbury City Council, and is represented by councillor Gerry Montpellier. In the Canada 2011 Census, the main communities in Onaping Falls were listed for the first time as two of six distinct population centres in Greater Sudbury: Dowling and Onaping-Levack .

    The Payette River is an 82.7-mile-long river in southwestern Idaho and is a major tributary of the Snake River. Its headwaters originate in the Sawtooth and Salmon River Mountains at elevations over 10,000 feet . Drainage in the watershed flows primarily from east to west, with the cumulative stream length to the head of the North Fork Payette River being 180 miles , while to the head of the South Fork the cumulative length is nearly 163 miles . The combined Payette River flows into an agricultural valley and empties into the Snake River near the city of Payette at an elevation of 2,125 feet .     Mount Rosseau is a mountain on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, located 43 km southwest of Courtenay and 23 km south of Mount Albert Edward. It is the highest summit of the Septimus-Rosseau massif. The most western summit of the massif is Mount Septimus. Mount Rosseau is part of the Vancouver Island Ranges which in turn form part of the Insular Mountains.

  • 10. Bridal Veil Falls Kagawong
    Bridal Veil Falls is a waterfall near the town of Kagawong on Lake Huron's Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada. The water source is the Kagawong River which flows from Lake Kagawong to the North Channel of Lake Huron. It has a height of approximately 35 feet . There is a short hiking trail from the falls down to the North Channel. There are two parking lots and two approaches to the falls: one from the top of the outdoor steel staircase next to the falls, and another from a few hundred yards down the trail, past some of the rapids. Both are easily accessible from Highway 540.
