    Allmannajuvet is a ravine or canyon located along the river Storelva in the municipality of Sauda in Rogaland county, Norway. The ravine is located in a rural, forested area along the Norwegian County Road 520 between the town of Sauda and the village of Hellandsbygda. This was the site of a large zinc mine which began operations in 1881 and closed in 1899, due to the changing market prices of zinc and high extraction costs. At its peak, the mine had 160 employees and was a major part of zinc exports from Norway.In 2001 Peter Zumthor was commissioned by the Norwegian road administration to design a rest area, museum and cafe. The museum was founded in 1828 as part of Kristiansand Katedralskole, named Kristiansand Museum. The current museum and botanical garden is run by the University of Agder. Today the natural history museum and botanical garden is located in the former farm Gimle, where the museum is in the outhouse and the park is about botanical garden, while the main building in Gimle Gård also has a museum, part of Vest-Agder Museum. The museum's current exhibition space was opened by the then Crown Prince Harald 26 June 1990.

Norway.World Heritage Rock Art - Alta Museum is situated in Hjemmeluft, a small bay on Altafjord near the Arctic Circle. Alta Museum is northern Norway's most-visited summer museum, with more than 1,000 visitors each day. It presents exhibitions on local culture and historic industries including the nearby prehistoric rock carvings that form a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Alta Museum is situated at the site of early settlement of Finnmark dating from around 11,000 years ago. In 1973, the first rock carvings in Hjemmeluft were found.
