Brandy Station is an unincorporated community in Culpeper County, Virginia, United States. Its original name was Brandy. The name Brandy Station comes from a local tavern sign that advertised brandy.Brandy Station was the site of the 1863 Battle of Brandy Station, the largest predominantly cavalry engagement of the American Civil War as well as the largest to take place ever on American soil.Auburn, Farley, and the Graffiti House are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Culpeper Regional Airport is located on Beverly Ford Road in Brandy Station.

The Battle of Brandy Station, also called the Battle of Fleetwood Hill, was the largest predominantly cavalry engagement of the American Civil War, as well as the largest ever to take place on American soil. It was fought on June 9, 1863, around Brandy Station, Virginia, at the beginning of the Gettysburg Campaign by the Union cavalry under Maj. Gen. Alfred Pleasonton against Maj. Gen. J.E.B. Stuart's Confederate cavalry. Pleasonton launched a surprise dawn attack on Stuart's cavalry at Brandy Station. After an all-day fight in which fortunes changed repeatedly, the Federals retired without discovering Gen. Robert E. Lee's infantry camped near Culpeper. James Madison's Montpelier, located in Orange County, Virginia, was the plantation house of the Madison family, including fourth President of the United States, James Madison, and his wife Dolley. The 2,650-acre property is open seven days a week with the mission of engaging the public with the enduring legacy of Madison's most powerful idea: government by the people. Montpelier was declared a National Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1966. It was included in the Madison-Barbour Rural Historic District in 1991. According to officials in San Juan Puerto Rico, 4 cruise ships visited the island last week and 17,000 passengers enjoyed a visit for the day. The economic impact was estimated to be $1.5 million or $85.00 per passenger. The question to my viewers is, do you spend more or less than that amount when you do a shore excursion? Norwegian Sun Panama Canal Cruise From You Know Where Updates and Travel Trivia! The Norewgian Sun saga justs keeps getting worse with 4 cruises now confirmed to have been construction cruises. 9000 people have been exposed to hazardous chemicals over a 60 day period of time from Buenos Aires to Los Angeles with 2 Panama Canal crossings. Health issues are popping up everywhere with former passengers visiting doctors for help. So far Norwegian is offering a credit towards a free cruise to the passengers who were on the last cruise through the Panama Canal March 16th to 31st 2018. The innocent victims from the other 3 cruises which carried about 6000 passengers through the Caribbean from Buenos Aires Feb 2 to Mar 16th 2018 have not been offered any compensation to date. The fate of the 1000 crew members remains in limbo as well.
