Here is a cinematic vlog of my recent visit to Glen Onoko Falls, in Jim Thorpe, PA. Shot in 4k! This is currently my favorite hiking trail in the Tri-state area of NJ, NY, and PA. This hiking trail is within Lehigh Gorge State Park and consist of many trails and can be dangerous at many parts of the trail contain rock scrambles that tend to be slippery near the falls. Trek with caution!

GLEN ONOKO Falls Trail Hike PA What to Expect

in this video of the Glen Onoko Falls you will understand what to expect as you hike the trail. there is so many beautiful waterfalls on this trail that I wanted to give you a glimpse of what you will see and the best places to get completely drenched by them!! also what trail is best to take up and down.
For hiking this trail be sure to hike up the orange blazed path (falls straight up) then take the red blazes down a nice gentle path that loops back to the start.
Be sure to climb to the top its worth it and its fun. expect to take about 1.5 hours if you wanna go fast or if you wanna take your time and have fun put aside a good 4 hours because it will be worth it. I brought food because I cant go more than 2 hours without eating had a nice spot on a rock to eat along the trail.
This is a fun trail but as always be very careful we came across a hognose snake almost stepped on it!!

While still in Mineola, we have the misfortune of hearing yet another train engineer with weak wrists. This time, it is in the form of LIRR Train 658, the Port Jefferson Branch express to Port Jefferson. I am unsure why the engineer found it necessary, but he feathered the horn in such a way that it sounded like a lame duck. If you're gonna blow through a town like Mineola, where people are impatient after sitting at a grade crossing for a minute or two while you do your station work, you need to blow full tilt. You never know who will decide to go across. That's just my two cents. Anyway, 658 consists of DM30AC 511 with 8 C-3 double deck cars and DM30AC 505 bringing up the markers. As the train makes its way east, it passes a 12 car set of M7's headed west for New York Penn Station. Nobody cares about them, though.
