On to Clarion and ultimately to join the Allegheny River near Foxburg. Bring your camera as river otters, eagles, wild turkey, and black bear are often seen along its banks. Everett Railroad #11: Return To Steam
In mid-October of 2015, the Everett Railroad, in Hollidaysburg, PA, returned 2-6-0 #11 to active service after a long restoration. On this particular day, this mighty Mogul was pulling three-car Pumpkin Patch Trains, from the new station in Hollidaysburg to Brookes Mills and return, with a stopover at a trackside pumpkin patch, where kids could feel free to pick their own pumpkins before the train returned to the station.
The engine performed magnificently in what was her second day of revenue passenger service - and we catch the train in quite a few of the scenic locations along the route. Enjoy this look at Everett Railroad #11: Return to Steam!
